1. Neu entwickelter 16 Megapixel-Live-MOS-Sensor und Venus Engine-Bildprozessor für höhere Empfindlichkeit und schnellere Signalauslesung
Der von Panasonic entwickelte, neue 16,05 Megapixel-Digital-Live MOS Sensor der Lumix GH4 zeichnet sich durch hohe Bildqualität, hohe Empfindlichkeit und Reaktionsschnelligkeit aus. Die schelle Signalauslesung mit 50 ms ist gegenüber der GH3 um ca. 50 Prozent schneller und vermindert den Rolling-Shutter-Effekt bei Foto- und Videoaufzeichungen mit elektronischem Verschluss. Bei schnellen Serien können jetzt bis zu 40 RAW- oder 100 JPG-Fotos an einem Stück aufgezeichnet werden. In Kombination mit dem Venus Engine-Bildprozessor wurde der Gradationsumfang um maximal 1/3-Stufe im Bereich der niedrigen Empfindlichkeiten erweitert. Bei Langzeitbelichtungen bis zu 60 Minuten im B(Bulb)-Modus kommt zudem eine verbesserte Rauschminderung zum Tragen.

Die neue Quad-Core-CPU steigert die Leistung des Bildprozessors spürbar. Sie macht die nötige Highspeed-Signalverarbeitung für hochwertige Videoaufzeichnung im 4K-Modus möglich. Die verbesserte Multi-Prozess-NR (Noise Reduction) sorgt für eine effektive Rauschunterdrückung unter Erhalt von feinen Kanten und Detailzeichnung. Ein neuer Zufalls-Filter ermöglicht einen natürlicheren Eindruck des chromatischen Rauschens im Bild. So wird eine Maximalempfindlichkeit von ISO 25‘600 erreicht.

Durch die Kombination von neuem Sensor-Design, neuem Bildprozessor und neuem Tiefpass-Filter wird die Auflösungsgrenze ohne Störungen durch Moiré Effekte um mehr als 5 Prozent erhöht. Zusätzlich erweitert ein neuer Blenden-Filter die Kontrolle über einen größeren Frequenzbereich. Er variiert die Schärfe je nach Frequenzbereich, was für einen räumlicheren Bildeindruck sorgt. Die Venus Engine verbessert zusätzlich die Farbwiedergabe durch eine genauere Bewertung der Farben, nicht nur bezüglich des Farbtons, sondern auch der Sättigung und der Leuchtkraft.

2. Reaktionsschnelles AF-System, schnelle Serienbilder
Alle Kameras der Lumix G Kategorie arbeiten mit Kontrasterkennung für die automatische Fokussierung. Im Vergleich zu Phasendifferenz-AF-Systemen bietet der Kontrast-AF eine höhere Genauigkeit vor allem beim Fotografieren mit grossen Blendenöffnungen lichtstarker Objektive. Mit Lumix G Wechselobjektiven erfolgt dazu der digitale Signalaustausch mit max. 240 B/s, um eine praktisch verzögerungsfreie, präzise Fokussierung zu erzielen. Neu bei der GH4 ist die Integration der Panasonic DFD (Depth from Defocus)-Technologie. Sie hilft, die Fokussierzeit weiter zu verkürzen, indem sie den Abstand zum Motiv ermittelt durch Auswertung von zwei defokussierten Bildern mit unterschiedlicher Schärfentiefe unter gleichzeitiger Berücksichtigung der optischen Eigenschaften der Objektivs. Ergebnis ist eine AF-Reaktionszeit von nur 0.07 Sekunden. Diese Verbesserung kommt mit zunehmendem Fokussierungsabstand immer stärker zum Tragen. Die Serienbild-Geschwindigkeit ist im Vergleich zur GH3 deutlich schneller. Die Lumix GH4 kommt mit mechanischem Verschluss bei voller Auflösung auf 12 B/s (40 RAW) / ca. 100 JPG) bei Einzelfokussierung oder 7 B/s bei kontinuierlicher Fokussierung. Zusammen mit der schnellen Einschaltzeit und der kurzen Auslöseverzögerung ist so bei flüchtigen Motiven immer schnellstmögliche Aufnahmebereitschaft garantiert.

Ergänzend zur Gesichtserkennung bietet die GH4 einen neuen Augen-Detektions-AF, der den Fokuspunkt präzise auf ein Auge im menschlichen Gesicht legt. Die Zahl der Fokuspunkte wurde zugleich von 23 (Lumix GH3) auf 49 Punkte erhöht. Dies erlaubt eine flexiblere Auswahl der Blöcke im benutzerdefinierten Multi-Modus. Der 1-Feld Bereich kann nicht nur bei manueller Fokussierung, sondern auch mit Autofokus stufenlos in der Größe angepasst werden. Ausserdem wurde die Genauigkeit des Tracking-AF zur Schärfeverfolgung durch minimales Pendeln um die Fokusposition weiter verbessert. Dank der schnellen Signalverarbeitung macht sich das bei 4K-Videos positiv bemerkbar.

Der Fokus-Punkt kann auf einen beliebigen Teil im gesamten Bildfeld gesetzt werden. Die Zeit, für die ein Ausschnitt vergrössert im Bild anzeigt werden soll, lässt sich mit dem Punkt- AF festlegen. Der Fokuspunkt kann entweder mit dem MF-Ring oder mit der Cursor-Taste im MF-Assist Modus vergrößert werden. Der Touch-AF-Modus ermöglicht es, die Position entweder auf einen absoluten oder relativen Punkt einzustellen. Der Eye-Sensor AF fokussiert schon beim ersten Blick in den Sucher und der AF/AE-Speicher erlaubt eine schnelle automatische Fokussierung auch beim Fotografieren mit dem elektronischen Sucher. Fokus-Peaking hilft bei MF sowie AF+MF.

Der neue, hochauflösende und schnelle elektronische OLED-Sucher der Lumix GH4 erleichtert die Live-View-Bildkontrolle. Die Auflösung des 100-Prozent-Sucherbildes im 16:9-Format beträgt 2‘359‘000 Bildpunkte bei verbesserter Wiedergabe im Randbereich. Das Sucherbild besticht durch einen hohen Kontrast von 10‘000:1 und eine hervorragende Farbwiedergabe. Wenn der Kontrast herausgestellt werden soll, lässt sich das Sucherbild auch monochrom anzeigen. Eine Austrittspupille von 21mm, eine neu gestaltete Augenmuschel und eine Suchervergrößerung von 0,67x, vergleichbar der professioneller SLR-Kameras, sorgen für eine komfortable und entspannte Betrachtung.

Die Umschaltung zwischen elektronischem Sucher und rückseitigem Touchscreen-OLED-Monitor erfolgt automatisch. Dafür sorgt der Augensensor, dessen Empfindlichkeit variabel und abschaltbar ist. Der 7,5cm (3 Zoll)-OLED-Monitor mit 100 Prozent-Bildfeld im 3:2-Format und einer Auflösung von 1‘036‘000 Bildpunkten lässt sich um 180° ausklappen und um 270° drehen. Sowohl das Monitor- wie auch das Sucherbild profitieren von der schnellen Signalauslesung- und -verarbeitung sowie den reaktionsschnellen OLEDs. Das sorgt für eine Bilderwiedergabe ohne Ruckler bei bewegten Motiven oder Schwenks.

Die Touchscreen-Bedienung kann sowohl bei der Bildkontrolle über den Monitor als auch über den Sucher erfolgen. Mit den manuellen Einstellrädern oberhalb und an der Rückseite der Kamera lässt sich besonders schnell auf die wichtigsten Funktionen zugreifen. Eigene Tasten dienen der schnellen Einstellung von Belichtungskorrektur, Weissabgleich und ISO-Wert, fünf Einstellungen können über programmierbare «Fn»Tasten aufgerufen werden. All diese Elemente lassen sich bedienen, ohne das Auge vom Sucher zu nehmen.Die GH4 ist auch für robuste Einsätze unter erschwerten Bedingungen entwickelt worden. So besteht das Grundgehäuse der GH4 aus einer Magnesium-Druckguss-Legierung und ist auch gegen Spritzwasser und Staub geschützt. Der neue Verschluss bietet eine kürzeste Belichtungszeit von 1/8000 s, eine X-Synchronzeit für den internen wie auch externe Blitze von 1/250s. Er ist auf eine Lebensdauer von 200‘000 Auslösungen ausgelegt.

Einfache kabellose Verbindung zu Smartphones mit WiFi / NFC. Die GH4 ist mit einem integrierten WiFi-Modul (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) samt NFC (Near Field Communication)-Technologie ausgestattet, die für flexible Anschlussmöglichkeiten und Bildübertragung sorgt. Mit der Panasonic «Image App» ist die Bildkontrolle und Fernbedienung bei Foto- und Videoaufnahmen mit iOS- und Android-Smartphones und Tablets möglich, wie etwa das Auslösen, Zoomen, Fokussieren und die Einstellungen von Verschlusszeit, Blende, Belichtungskorrektur, sowie das Betrachten und Teilen von Bildern. Auch Geo-Tags vom Smartphone lassen sich nach der Aufnahme in der Bilddatei speichern. Bei Smartphones und Tablets ohne NFC-Funktion erleichtert ein spezieller QR-Code auf dem Kamera-Monitor die Verbindung durch ein einfaches Abscannen.

Signal-Ein- und Ausgänge. Die GH4 kommt mit zahlreichen Zubehör-Anschlüssen. Eine 3,5mm-Mikrofonbuchse erlaubt qualitativ hochwertige Tonaufnahme mit einem externen Mikrofon und die 3,5mm-Kopfhörerbuchse ermöglicht die Überwachung des Tons während der Videoaufnahme. Ebenfalls in Echtzeit kann die Aufnahme per Live-Bild, über ein optionales Mikro HDMI-Kabel angeschlossenen werden und auf einem externen Monitor kontrolliert werden. Zusätzlich stehen AV-Ausgänge (2ch Audio, Composite), X-Blitzkabelbuchse und eine 2,5mm Klinkenbuchse für eine Fernbedienung zur Verfügung.Für die zuverlässige Aufzeichnung von hochauflösenden 4K-Videos nutzt die GH4 SD-Speicherkarten der neuen UHS Speed Klasse 3 (U3). Diese Norm garantiert eine konstante minimale Schreibgeschwindigkeit von 30 MB/s, wie sie für 4K-Videoaufnahmen erforderlich ist.

Optionales Zubehör. Mit dem DMW-FL580L erweitert ein neuer leistungsstarker System-Blitz das Panasonic-Zubehörangebot. Der Blitz mit Leitzahl 58 bietet schnelle Ladezeiten von nur 1,7 Sekunden, ist kabellos steuerbar und besitzt eine LED-Videoleuchtenfunktion. If you're not in a hurry, it's well worth waiting as laptops aren't upgradeable, so you're stuck with the graphics chip you buy, and it's always a good idea to get one from latest generation.

Laptop screens have also improved, with screen resolutions now settling at full-HD, 1920 x 1080 pixels, and using better technology than the basic TN type found on cheap portables. Look out for IPS panels which offer wide and consistent viewing from all angles, better contrast ratio and wider colour gamuts. Don’t be misled by boasts about screen brightness – contrast ratio, especially at lower brightness settings, is far more important than dazzling your eyes with 300cd/m2 figures.
It’s also easier to find screens now with more practical anti-glare finishes, reversing the trend of high-gloss reflective panels that were once unavoidable from most brands. And you can usually ignore the trend for greater-than-HD resolution, since graphics processors struggle with UHD (4K) screens. For most gamers, 1920 x 1080 is a happy compromise between glorious on-screen detail and playable framerates.
For storage, a solid-state drive will greatly improve the user experience when it comes to booting a PC, launching programs and opening and saving files. It won’t make your games run faster, although it may reduce any short pauses between levels. Nevertheless an SSD is always recommended, with the option of a second, traditional capacious hard disk inside to keep your games stored.

It's easy to get bogged down in the tech and spec soup of computer terminology, but there are a couple of key areas photographers need to think about.The first is the quality of the screen. This used to be more eye-sore than eye-candy, with appalling contrast and viewing angles, but thankfully IPS display tech fixes this and you shouldn't settle for anything less.An SSD (solid state drive) is a must as your primary storage in any new laptop. A conventional hard disk drive will bottleneck performance like flat tires on a Ferrari, and while dedicated graphics cards are great for gaming, they're not a necessity here. Today's processors can fill in for them, and they pack enough pixel-pushing punch for photo editing.The MacBook is favoured by many photographers, and for good reason. But don't rule out comparably priced laptop PCs, which can offer more bang per buck with better upgradability.

Apple's Retina display revolutionised laptop screen quality – and while the competition now sports Retina-rivalling panels, the MacBook still offers the best viewing experience. Its brightness, contrast, saturation and detail are all sublime, and Apple's factory colour calibration is the most accurate. Although its 2.7GHz processor is technically faster than the dual-core chips in the Dell and Microsoft laptops on test here, real-world performance is almost identical, and nothing very special. Our MacBook configuration lasted a mighty 12 hours 12 minutes in our video loop test, thrashing all but the Surface Book. It may be an obvious choice, but this is still a brilliant all-rounder.

This entry-level Surface Book features a modest dual-core processor, but its performance is comparable to the MacBook. The battery life comes close at 11 hours 10 minutes, and the screen quality is equally stunning. Only Apple's marginally better colour calibration gives the MacBook's image quality the edge, but Microsoft fights back with a superior 3,000 x 2,000 resolution and an ideal aspect ratio for viewing APS-C and full-frame images. The screen's touch-sensitive, but its real party trick is its ability to detach from the rest of the laptop to become a tablet. You even get a Bluetooth stylus pen with 1,024 pressure levels, so the device can double as a graphics tablet. We'd make it the winner, but the 128GB SSD here is prohibitively restrictive, and speccing more storage costs big bucks. Beats the MacBook on versatility, but Apple's spec is better balanced at this price point.

The ZenBook Pro's 15.6-inch screen sports an impressive Ultra HD resolution, resulting in the highest pixel density on test. Image quality, however, isn't quite up there with the MacBook and Surface Book. Colour saturation and contrast are marginally less intense, and that sky-high pixel density has little real-world benefit over similar screens. The extra screen size is much more useful, especially in Photoshop, but it contributes to the ZenBook's relatively hefty 2.27kg mass. This beast does contain a fast processor though, and big batteries to power it. A photo editing powerhouse, albeit one you won't want to carry too often.

Accu LENOVO E100

Onder andere de cpu-cores zijn in Kaveri verbeterd. Die bestaan uit Steamroller-modules, zoals we in de review over de desktopvarianten schreven, die voor beter cachegebruik, betere branche prediction en effectievere scheduling moeten zorgen. Het sterke punt bij de apu's van AMD is traditiegetrouw de gpu en ook deze zijn bijgewerkt naar de nieuwe R-generatie van de graphics core next-cores. AMD hanteert ook voor de gpu de term 'Compute Core', die een 'rekenkern' aan moet geven die zelfstandig een volledig computingprocess voor zijn rekening moet kunnen nemen. Een Kaveri-apu heeft maximaal acht gpu-cores, dus in totaal 512 streamprocessors, waar dat bij Richland maximaal 384 streamprocessors waren.

Kaveri is net als Trinity en Richland opgetrokken rond de heterogeneous system-architectuur, waarmee AMD de architectuur aangeeft die de gpu een gelijkwaardige rol ten opzichte van de cpu moet geven. Daarnaast zijn de heterogeneous unified memory architecture en heterogeneous queuing toegevoegd, waarbij het principe is doorgetrokken naar respectievelijk het kunnen benaderen van geheugen en het direct doorgeven van werklasten door de cpu aan de gpu, zonder tussenkomst van drivers.Er zijn drie apu's met een tdp van 35W, vijf chips met tdp's van 19W en twee varianten met 17W. Anandtech onderwierp de krachtigste apu, de FX-7600P, aan een test en kwam tot de conclusie dat de prestaties veelbelovend zijn, maar dat het vooral de prestaties van de zuinige varianten het succes gaan bepalen. Daarbij is het de vraag hoe de accuduur van laptops met die chips wordt en of er voldoende fabrikanten bereid zijn de apu's in laptops op te nemen. Gezien de neiging van fabrikanten om tegenwoordig zoveel mogelijk op kosten te besparen bij laptops, lijkt AMD hier een kans te hebben.

Een hacker heeft een laptop in elkaar geschroefd met in de behuizing zowel een PlayStation 4 als een Xbox One. De 'PlayBox' zal geen laptop worden die je zomaar kunt kopen, maar de hacker zegt dat hij er wellicht meer dan deze ene gaat maken.In de behuizing van de laptop zit zowel de hardware van de Xbox One als de PS4, gecombineerd met een 22"-scherm van Vizio. Beide consoles werken in het prototype, dat Eddie Zarick maakte voor een klant. Vanwege de kans op oververhitting kun je ze niet tegelijk gebruiken.Er zijn wel een paar kleine compromissen om het allemaal te laten passen. Zo werkt de aanraakgevoelige knop van de PS4 niet altijd en heeft de Xbox geen usb-poorten. Het wisselen tussen de Xbox en de PlayStation werkt via een rode switch op de achterkant van de laptop.

Zarick heeft de PlayBox gemaakt op verzoek van een specifieke klant. Het zal geen laptop worden waarvan hij er veel wil verkopen, maar hij sluit niet uit dat hij er meer gaat maken.Zonder er veel ruchtbaarheid aan te geven heeft Nvidia een nieuwe videokaart voor laptops uitgebracht. De GTX 965M is opgetrokken rond een Maxwell GM204-gpu, maar met minder cudacores dan de versie voor de GTX 970M en 980M.Nvidia heeft de GTX 965M met specificaties op zijn site gezet. Ten opzichte van de GTX 980M en de GTX 970M met dezelfde gpu heeft Nvidia bij de GTX 965M minder cuda-cores geactiveerd en ook de geheugeninterface is met 128bit een stuk minder breed bemeten. De betere architectuur van Maxwell ten opzichte van voorganger Kepler moet ervoor zorgen dat de videokaart desondanks met prestaties en verbruik zijn mannetje staat tegenover de GTX 870M. De GTX 965M zou de GTX 870M, die op papier betere specificaties heeft, deels moeten opvolgen.

Onduidelijk is nog of de kaart met 2GB, 4GB of beide configuraties in laptops verschijnt. De snelheid van het gddr5-geheugen bedraagt hoe dan ook effectief 5GHz. De gpu-coreclock loopt op 924MHz waarbij GPU Boost 2.0 de kloksnelheid variabel naar boven aanpast. In ieder geval de Nederlandse laptopfabrikant BTO gaat laptops met de nieuwe gpu leveren. Wanneer de overige gpu's in de 900M-serie verschijnen is niet bekend.Dell heeft tijdens de consumentenelektronicabeurs CES een nieuwe laptop geïntroduceerd. De XPS 13 heeft een 13,3"-scherm en wordt optioneel met een resolutie van 3200x1800 pixels geleverd. De laptops worden uitgerust met verschillende Intel Core-processors.

Het bedrijf heeft de laptop onder meer op zijn site aangekondigd. Het instapmodel bevat een Intel Core i3-processor, terwijl een krachtigere variant is uitgerust met een Intel Core i7-processor. Het werkgeheugen is vastgesteld op 4 of 8GB en Dell heeft Windows 8.1 als besturingssysteem gekozen. De laptops worden verder met een ssd van 128 of 256GB geleverd.Het model met 3200x1800 pixels heeft een touchscreen. Er is daarnaast een variant met een lagere resolutie, van 1920x1080 pixels. De bezels aan de zijkanten zijn 5,2 millimeter dun. Dell claimt verder dat de laptop een accuduur heeft van vijftien uur, maar er wordt niet vermeld met welke opties dat wordt gehaald. Volgens The Verge gaat het om het model met een lagere resolutie en een Intel Core i5-processor. De laptop zou ongeveer 1,2 kilogram wegen.

In totaal biedt Dell de XPS 13 in zeven verschillende varianten aan. Het goedkoopste model heeft een verkoopprijs van 800 dollar, terwijl voor de duurste variant 1600 dollar moet worden afgedragen. Omgerekend gaat het dan om bedragen van ruim 670 en ongeveer 1350 euro. Dell verkoopt de laptops onder meer via de eigen site.Dell heeft op de elektronicabeurs CES Latitude- en Inspiron-modellen aangekondigd die leverbaar zijn met de nieuwe Broadwell-cpu's van Intel. Daarnaast is ook het assortiment laptops van dochterbedrijf Alienware aangepast en vernieuwd.Dell heeft de laptopreeks van Alienware vernieuwd en het 18"-model verwijderd. Het bedrijf heeft een nieuw 15"-model geïntroduceerd en de hardware van het 17"-model een upgrade gegeven. Daarnaast is het nieuwe vlaggenschip dunner en lichter geworden. Beide modellen kunnen ook geleverd worden met een uhd-scherm, maar het is niet meer mogelijk om Alienware-laptops uit te rusten met twee videokaarten.

Het 15"-model is leverbaar met een dualcore Intel Core i5-processor of een quadcore Intel i7-4710HQ. Bij de 17"-versie is de i7-4710HQ nu het minimum en kan er ook worden gekozen voor een i7-4980HQ. Beide laptops beschikken standaard over 8GB geheugen maar dit kan worden uitgebreid naar 16GB. Bij het vorige 17"-model kon er ook nog gekozen worden voor 32GB werkgeheugen, dit is nu niet meer het geval. Voor het grafische rekenwerk kan gekozen worden uit verschillende kaarten van Nvidia en AMD en ook de externe Graphics Amplifier wordt ondersteund.De Alienware-laptops zijn vanaf 8 januari verkrijgbaar; het 15"-model krijgt een startprijs van 1499 euro en zijn grote broer moet minimaal 1749 euro gaan kosten.

Op de CES heeft Dell ook aangekondigd zijn Latitude-laptops te voorzien van de net uitgekomen Broadwell-cpu's van Intel. Alle modellen in de Latitude-series kunnen nu worden uitgerust met verschillende processors van Intel die gemaakt zijn volgens het nieuwe 14nm-procedé, beginnend bij de Core i3-5010U op 2,1GHz, tot en met de i7-5600U op 2,6GHz. De laptops kunnen met zowel ssd's als traditionele harde schijven worden uitgerust en zijn in veel gevallen ook dunner en lichter dan hun voorgangers.

Naast de laptops in de Latitude-reeks zijn de nieuwe Broadwell-cpu's van Intel nu ook terug te vinden in de Inspiron-systemen van Dell. Verder is het 15"-model uit de Inspiron 7000-reeks nu ook leverbaar met een uhd-touchscreen voor weergave van 4k-video. Verder wordt de 23"-all-in-one Inspiron van Dell uitgerust met de Intel RealSense 3D Camera die Intel vorig jaar op de CES aankondigde.Acer heeft aangekondigd twee bestaande laptops een upgrade met Intel Broadwell-processors te geven. Daarnaast krijgt de Aspire V 17 Nitro de Intel RealSense 3D-camera, waarmee gebruikers de laptops met gebaren kunnen bedienen.

Acer gaat de Aspire R13-convertible en de S7-ultrabook van Broadwell-processors voorzien. Broadwell is de vijfde generatie Core-processors en Intel maakt ze op 14nm, waar voorganger Haswell nog op 22nm werd geproduceerd. Naast snelheidswinst moet dit langere accuduren opleveren. Nieuwe versies van de Aspire R13 en S7 krijgen ook ondersteuning voor wifi-ac en er komen modellen met 8GB ram en 1TB-opslag, waar twee ssd's in raid0 voor gaan zorgen. De modellen komen in januari beschikbaar, maar de prijzen zijn nog onbekend.

Auf Xperia E4 ist PartyShare bereits vorinstalliert, zusätzlich steht es ab heute im Play Store für alle Xperia Produkte und Android Smartphones mit Kitkat oder späterer Google OS-Version zum Download bereit.Ein optimaler Ton ist unumgänglich für Videofilme. Für Situationen mit mehreren Tonquellen bieten Mehrspurrekorder wie der DR-680MKII von Tascam optimale Flexibilität für die Nachbearbeitung. Der DR-680MKII im Detail
Sechs Mikrofoneingänge bieten 60 dB Verstärkung sowie Phantomspeisung für klare Aufnahmen mit Kondensatormikrofonen. Fügt der Nutzer den sechs analogen Eingangssignalen noch eine digitale Quelle im SPDIF-Format hinzu, so stehen insgesamt acht Aufnahmespuren zur Verfügung. Die Eingänge des Recorders lassen sich über einen eingebauten Mischer abhören, der Pegel- und Panoramaregler für jeden Kanal bereitstellt. Die dabei entstehende Stereomischung kann zusammen mit den sechs Eingangssignalen aufgenommen werden, um die Aufnahme in Stereo abhören zu können. Ein kleiner eingebauter Lautsprecher gestattet die Überprüfung von Aufnahmen auch ohne Kopfhörer. Tascam DR-680mkII Für höchste Ansprüche bietet der DR-680MKII die Möglichkeit, zwei Spuren mit einer Abtastrate von 192 kHz bei 24 Bit Auflösung aufzuzeichnen. Es können aber auch bis zu vier Spuren gleichzeitig im platzsparenden MP3-Format mit Bitraten 96, 128, 192 und 320 KBit/s aufgenommen werden – ideal etwa für Sprachaufzeichnungen wie Konferenzmitschnitte. Für solche Aufnahmen kann zwischen Mono- und Stereoformat gewählt werden. Tascam DR-680mk2 front Neben WAV und MP3 bietet der Recorder auch BWF als Aufnahmeformat an, bei dem die Startzeiten der Aufnahme in den Metadaten gespeichert werden. Im WAV/BWF-Format können mit dem DR-680MKII zwei Spuren mit 192 kHz und 24 Bit Auflösung aufgenommen werden.

Der DR-680MKII ist mit sechs Analogeingängen über XLR/Klinke-Kombibuchsen und einem Digitaleingang vielseitig nutzbar. Damit lässt sich Livemusik mehrspurig aufnehmen, Soundeffekte für Surround erfassen oder der mehrkanalige Ton für Filmaufnahmen und Veranstaltungen mit mehreren Mikrofonen aufzeichen.Tascam DR-680mk2 SeitenRechte und linke Seite mit den diversen analogen Audioanschlüssen. Der Recorder verfügt zudem über einen koaxialen Digitaleingang und -ausgang (SPDIF, AES/EBU) sowie sechs unsymmetrische Line-Ausgänge.Werden bis zu 16 Aufnahmespuren benötigt, schaltet man einfach zwei Recorder zusammen. Dabei können die Transportfunktionen (Aufnahme, Wiedergabe, Pause, Stopp) mehrerer Recorder gleichzeitig vom Mastergerät aus gesteuert werden. Neu am «Mark II»–Modell des DR-680 sind die Unterstützung von SDXC-Karten und die verbesserten HDDA-Mikrofonvorverstärker. Es ist mit dem DR-680MKII jetzt möglich parallel zwei Aufnahmedateien mit unterschiedlichem Aufnahmepegel aufzuzeichen, um optimale Ergebnisse zu erzeugen. Das Gerät kann nun auch Lithium-Batterien nutzen und soll längere Batterielaufzeiten bieten.

Das neue Blitzgerät Pentax AF 201 FG ist preislich und vom Funktionsumfang zwar im Einsteigerbereich angesiedelt, wegen seiner geringen Grösse aber ideal als zusätzlicher Aufsteckblitz für Leute, die mit leichtem Fotogepäck reisen. Trotz geringer Grösse besitzt der wetterfeste Blitz einen schwenk- und drehbaren Reflektor. Der Blitz passt zu den K-, Q- und 645-Kameramodellen von Pentax.Ricoh Imaging hat mit dem Pentax AF 201 FG ein neues Blitzgerät für den Einstiegsbereich vorgestellt, das ebenso wetterfest wie klein und praktisch ist. Durch seine Abmessungen passt es gut zur neuen DSLR Pentax K-S2, die gestern zusammen mit einem ebenso kompakten, einziehbarem Standardzoom vorgestellt wurde.

Pentax AF201FG vorne und hintenVor allem bei unzureichendem Umgebungslicht und höherem Lichtbedarf mit schnellen Verschlusszeiten dienen zusätzliche Blitzgeräte als wertvolle Lichtgeber – auch gerade dann, wenn eingebaute Blitzgeräte an ihre Grenzen stossen – insbesondere wegen mangelnden Verstellmöglichkeiten des Reflektors für indirektes Blitzen. Das Pentax AF 201 FG mit einer Leitzahl von 20 bietet über ausreichend Leistung, um auch indirektes Blitzen zu ermöglichen.
Das Blitzgerät ist mit 18 Dichtungen vor Wasser und Staub geschützt und passt damit optimal in das wetterfeste K-System. Die geringen Abmessungen und einfache Handhabung machen das Pentax AF 201 FG aber auch zur idealen Erweiterung des Q-Systems von Pentax.

Kompakt: Vorherrschende Lichtverhältnisse sind oftmals nur schwer absehbar, sodass ein gutes Blitzgerät in keiner Fototasche fehlen darf. Denn sie sind ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel, um in verschiedenen Aufnahmesituationen das natürliche Licht zu ersetzen oder zu ergänzen. Dementsprechend kann man das neue Blitzgerät durch die besonders kompakte Bauweise immer und überall dabei haben.Komplett wetterfest: Neben den Lichtverhältnissen sind die Witterungsbedingungen oft ebensowenig planbar. Da ist es bei Aussenaufnahmen von Vorteil, wenn auch das Blitzgerät jeder Situation gewachsen ist. Das AF 201 FG ist mit 18 Dichtungen absolut wetter- und staubfest, somit kann es im Regen oder Sandsturm problemlos bestehen. Durch die Möglichkeit des vertikalen Schwenkens des Blitzreflektors kommt es zu einer ausgewogeneren Ausleuchtung des Motivs. Dafür sorgt auch der integrierte Weitwinkelreflektor für indirektes Blitzen.Einfache Bedienung: Auf unkomplizierte Handhabung wurde besonderer Wert gelegt. So stehen alle Funktionen am zentralen Einstellrad zur Verfügung. Batteria HP Pavilion 14

Il paniere 2012 dell’Istat diventa quindi più tecnologico: la posizione rappresentativa computer desktop, comprende ora anche il nuovo prodotto ‘All-in-one’, ovvero il computer compatto, mentre quella relativa al notebook include il nuovo prodotto ‘Ultrabook’, ossia il portatile ultra piatto. E’ questo quanto rileva l’Istituto di statistica.Il paniere 2012 è composto da 1.398 prodotti, aggregati in 597 posizioni rappresentative (591 nel 2011); su queste ultime sono calcolati mensilmente i relativi indici dei prezzi al consumo. Fra le posizioni rappresentative già presenti nel paniere dello scorso anno, una delle modifiche di maggiore rilievo riguarda la posizione energia elettrica che, terminata l’introduzione progressiva dei prezzi biorari, viene disaggregata nelle tre posizioni Tariffa bioraria fascia diurna feriale, Tariffa bioraria fascia notturna, weekend e festivi e Quota fissa.Le novità relative al segmento dei Giochi, lotterie e scommesse riguardano la posizione dei Concorsi pronostici, dove sono stati inseriti, in aggiunta ai tradizionali giochi numerici a totalizzatore nazionale e ai giochi a base sportiva, le ‘lotterie istantanee’, le ‘scommesse sportive’ e i ‘giochi a base ippica’.

Nel 2015 su cento computer venduti ben quaranta saranno tablet, lo dicono le societa’ di analisi. Asus, gia’ per il 2012, ha pronta una fitta roadmap di rilascio prodotti e dopo aver inaugurato la sequenza con lo Slate B121 su piattaforma Windows, prosegue ora con questo piu’ convincente Transformer Prime (586 grammi di peso, 10 pollici di diagonale con display super IPS + e Corning Gorilla Glass) che esce dalla fabbrica con a bordo Android 4.0 (Ice cream Sandwich), il Prime inoltre monta il processore piu’ coerente per assecondarne la vocazione multimediale, si tratta del potente quad core nVidia Tegra 3, e viene venduto con inclusa nella confezione una docking station, è più che un’ottima tastiera perché include una batteria per l’utilizzo fino a 18 ore e prevede una porta USB (non manca sul tablet quella micro-Hdmi). Tutto a un prezzo piu’ che aggressivo, 599 euro. Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime e’ disponibile da subito presso gli Asus Point e dal 10 di febbraio 2012 invece nei consueti canali della grande distribuzione.

Dunque sono queste le caratteristiche di punta di un tablet (non è il primo della famiglia Transformer) che a un primo sguardo ha tutte le carte in regola per porsi in concorrenza non solo con il punto di riferimento iPad di Apple, ma anche con gli ultrabook costosi, se non altro per il form factor ultraportatile e per il prezzo abbordabile, se non proprio per le prestazioni come pc. A farci le spese saranno in questo caso i netbook. Crisi economica permettendo. Si ha infatti la percezione che le aziende abbiano tanti progetti nel cassetto, ma da presentare al mercato con estrema prudenza. Asus stessa ha gia’ pronto anche un Eee Pad Phone con il supporto per telefonare, ma arrivera’ piu’ avanti (e di questo Transformer se ne parlava da ottobre). Di sicuro c’e’ che alcuni tablet sono destinati al bagno di sangue e che Android paga ancora pegno alle app di iOS, perche’ anche in ambito business se si hanno soldi per sviluppare su un’ unica piattaforma e’ facile che si scelga iOS.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime non dovrebbe rientrare tra i tablet sfortunati. A noi e’ parso un device convincente, cui in pratica manca solo la connettivita’ 3G integrata. Certo, e’ una mancanza pesante, e lo e’ soprattutto per chi vorra’ utilizzarlo proprio per lavorare, piu’ che per i giocatori incalliti. L’altra nostra convinzione, infatti, e’ che seppure di tablet di fascia alta stiamo parlando, questo sia un tablet con una spudorata vocazione consumer. Lo dice il processore nVidia Tegra 3, il quad-core spinto per i giochi, lo dice il respository TegraZone con le applicazioni che ne esaltano le prestazioni (sono quelle con estensione THV), e lo dicono le soluzioni software per il gioco in 3D con i dispositivi di controllo di PlayStation e Xbox. Ne e’ una prova anche il supporto DLNA (MyNet), e tool come SuperNote, o Zinio per leggere i periodici. Si trova preinstallata l’applicazione di Amazon e anche PressDirect per le news dei quotidiani, se proprio cercate le applicazioni Office troverete Polaris. Chi vuole salvare i propri dati in the cloud ha a disposizione 8 Gbyte gratuiti offerti da Asus.

Fa pensare alla vocazione consumer di questo tablet anche la presentazione di Alessandro Salsi, country product manager di AsusTek Italia quando, in riferimento al software di controllo remoto del pc di casa con MyDekstop, non trova esempio migliore per l’applicativo della possibilita’ – ancora – di continuare a giocare, sfruttando la potenza del computer. Poi si torna a parlare della buona fotocamera da 8 Megapixel (quella frontale però e’ da 1,2 Megapixel appena) dei 32 Gbyte di memoria integrata e dell’unico Gbyte di Ram. Ma siamo ai dettagli, e i tablet bene o male su questi parametri si stanno appiattendo a quel tanto che serve per soddisfare Android.

Ultrabook (ferve l’attesa per Hp Envy Spectre, ma anche i modelli Lenovo, Acer), Tv OLED e Smart Tv, forse nuove Google Tv, le console di videogiochi (Wii U, PS Vita, qualche novità per Xbox 360), smartphone e tablet (fari puntati sul quad-core di Asus), oltre a novità Intel in ambito Mobile e Amd nelle schede grafiche. Dovrebbero essere questi i "piatti forte” del Consumer Electronic Show (CES 2012), che si terrà a Las Vegas dal 10 al 13 gennaio. Quest’edizione della fiera dell’elettronica consume passerà alla storia come l‘ultimo Ces inaugurato dal consueto keynote di Microsoft.

Partiamo, allora, da Microsoft che al Ces presentò Xbox 360 e tantissime novità Windows e consumer. Quest’anno Microsoft non deluderà: potrebbe svelare una versione più stabile di Windows 8, la prossima versione del sistema operativo, il primo per chip non Intel (Arm eccetera) e nativo per i tablet multitouch. Forse potremo toccare con mano Windows 8 su tablet (forse con chip ARM) e desktop, ma anche la nuova versione Tango di Windows Phone per smartphone, aspettando Apollo (Windows Phone 8 per il Mobile). Un allestimento tutto declinato in ottica Metro UI.

Il 2012 sarà l’anno dei tablet Windows 8. Secondo NPD DisplaySearch le vendite di tablet sono cresciute del 250% nel 2011 per raggiungere 72.7 milioni di unità, sorpassando il segmento notebook, pari a un quarto (25.5%) del mercato Pc. Entro il 2017, le vendite di notebook sono stimate a 432 milioni di unità, mentre le vendite di tablet sono proiettate a 383.3 milioni di pezzi.Nel mercato Pc il 2012 sarà l’anno della conferma degli Ultrabook, ultrasottili e con accensione istantanea: c’è fermento per Hp Envy Spectre, un modello "sottile come un rasoio”. Secondo Engadget sarà spesso meno di 1 cm e con pannello superiore in vetro imitando il design del retro dell’iPhone 4S.Lenovo ha svelato in anteprima l’Ultrabook business ThinkPad T430u, un portatile con lo schermo di 14 pollici, la tastiera con tasti ad isola e la durata della batteria fino 6 ore. Originale è anche Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Hybrid è ufficiale. Il notebook 2-in-1 avrà doppio OS (Android e Windows), ultrasottile e con accensione instant-on e durata della batteria raddoppiata. Arriverà sul mercato nel secondo trimestre al prezzo di 1,599 dollari (1244 euro).

Racchiuso in chassis nero in lega metallica, design dalle linee squadrate, schermo da 13 pollici (1366 x 76 con Gorilla Glass, disponibile in due architetture: x86 o CPU RISC, per sposare due OS. Con piattaforma Intel Core i5/i7 (fino a 8GB di memoria RAM) per Windows 7; con Cpu Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 da 1.2GHz (con 1GB di memoria RAM) per Android o Linux (che parte in modalità Instant Media Mode). Anche Acer scommette sugli Ultrabook.In ambito smartphone, il Ces non è Mwc. Tuttavia anche alla fiera di Las Vegas dovremmo vedere i nuovi Sony Xperia Android targati solo Sony, non più Sony Ericsson, un modello LG con processori Intel e forse il nuovo Nokia Lumia 900 con supporto LTE, che arriva negli Usa nei giorni del debutto degli economici Nokia Lumia 710. Panasonic sfrutterà le luci del Ces per fare il suo ingresso nel mercato smartphone, oltre che per mostrare le sue Oled Tv.

E passiamo al mondo Tv, dove si spazierà dai modelli Oled alle Smart, con qualche novità attesa per le Google Tv. In ambito gaming, Nintendo potrebbe fornire novità sulla Wii U con controller multitouch, mentre Sony lanciare la portatile Playstation Vita negli Usa.Capitolo tablet, il mercato a crescita a tripla cifra. Asus presenterà il suo nuovo Transformer, l’EeePad quad-core, motorizzato con Nvidia Tegra 3. Archos sfiderà sui 7 pollici Kindle Fire e Nook (di cui si vocifera di uno spin-off da Barnes & Noble, dopo il milione di unità vendute in poco tempo). E ormai è il Kindle Fire, la star del 2012, l’unico tablet Android capace di erodere quote all’iPad 2. Tanto che anche Google starebbe preparando un suo tablet Nexus, una tavoletta con Ice Cream Sandwich.

Samsung rinnoverà le Oled e smart Tv, ma anche la gamma di fotocamere mirrorless. Toshiba evolve sui 4K e le Tv 3D senza occhialini. Sharp festeggia i 100 anni, forse con qualche novità di peso. LG ha già annunciato il suo 55” Oled, ma potrebbe anche togliere i veli a una Google Tv.Infine i processori. Intel dovrebbe fare il punto sul Mobile con transistor Trigate e Ivy Bridge a 22 nanometri. Invece AMD aggiornerà le schede grafiche con processore Radeon HD7970 e 7950, e forse l’attesa dual GPU HD 7990. Ecco come utilizzare il computer Apple, con l’iPhone o l’iPad, quando si è lontani da casa. Parallels Desktop offre un sistema di controllo remoto per lavorare a distanza sul vostro Mac, su cui potete avere installato anche una versione di Windows o addirittura Linux. Basta lasciare il computer di casa acceso

Non è un miracolo e nemmeno una diavoleria, ma forse non tutti sanno che si può usare il proprio MacBook e, in generale, il proprio computer Apple anche quando si è lontani da esso, con l’iPhone, l’iPod e ovviamente l’iPad (che forse è il sistema più comodo). Il modo più semplice per farlo è offerto da una caratteristica del software Parallels Dekstop per Mac, arrivato alla versione 7 (guardate in video come usarlo) che noi abbiamo provato anche con la relativa App gratuita scaricabile da App Store. E qui viene il bello, perché potrete usare il vostro Mac con i dispositivi portatili non solo con l’ambiente Mac OS X Lion, ma anche con installati Windows e Linux.

E’ molto facile da spiegare, ma ancora di più è facile farlo: Parallels Desktop (qui trovate la recensione completa), il software di virtualizzazione, prevede anche un modulo di utilizzo tramite accesso remoto che è opportunamente sfruttato dalla relativa App gratuita disponibile su App Store. Basta essere in regola con le licenze, avere il proprio account sul sito Parallels e con questo stesso account si potrà controllare il software Parallels installato sul vostro computer Apple.Sul computer dovrete aprire il menu Parallels Desktop/Preferenze e scegliere la scheda Mobile. Sul dispositivo portatile (iPhone, iPod e iPad) dovrete lanciare la vostra App, e eseguire il login con l’account Parallels.

Lenovo heeft tijdens CES enkele nieuwe laptops en tablets in de Yoga-serie aangekondigd. Het gaat om de Thinkpad Yoga, de Yoga 3 en de Yoga Tablet 2. Alle apparaten moeten in de eerste maanden van 2015 op de markt komen.Thinkpad Yoga is een convertible die draait op Windows 8.1. De rekenkracht wordt geleverd door een Intel Core i7-processor. De hoeveelheid werkgeheugen is onbekend, maar het is wel al duidelijk dat maximaal 1TB aan opslaggeheugen wordt geleverd. Lenovo gaat het apparaat in drie verschillende uitvoeringen leveren, namelijk in 12", 14" en in 15". De schermresoluties zijn ook nog niet helemaal duidelijk: Lenovo spreekt alleen over full hd, waarmee waarschijnlijk een resolutie van 1920x1080 pixels wordt bedoeld.

Alleen het 15"-model wordt optioneel uitgerust met een RealSense 3d-camera. De convertibles worden verder geleverd met de ActivePen-technologie, waarmee het handschrift van een persoon realistisch moet worden nagebootst. De nieuwe Thinkpad Yoga-reeks is dan ook voornamelijk gericht op zakelijk gebruik. De accu moet volgens Lenovo ongeveer een dag meegaan. Als het toetsenbord wordt omgeklapt, kan het apparaat naast de 'laptop-modus' ook als een tablet worden gebruikt.De 12"-variant is 19 millimeter dik en weegt iets minder dan 1,5 kilogram. Lenovo geeft over de andere modellen geen gegevens. De 12"- en de 15"-modellen moeten in februari op de markt komen voor 999 dollar en 1199 dollar. Omgerekend gaat het dan over 838 euro en 1006 euro.Intel heeft zijn vijfde generatie Core-processors voor laptops aangekondigd. De eerste lichting van de op 14nm geproduceerde Core-processors moet betere prestaties en een langere accuduur naar laptops brengen. Het gaat om veertien processors.

De laptopvariant heeft een hdmi-poort, twee usb 3.0-poorten en nog een Kensington-lockpoort. In de laptop-modus kan het apparaat naar verluidt 16 uur worden gebruikt voor dit weer aan de lader moet. De afmetingen zijn in die stand 309x215x21mm en het gewicht bedraagt 1,59 kilogram. Het tablet-deel van de Portégé Z20t heeft de beschikking over micro-hdmi-, micro-usb-, een micro-sd-sleuf en nog een combineerde audiojack. De afmetingen van het tablet-deel zijn 309x199x8,8mm bij een gewicht van 799 gram.De adviesprijs van het apparaat bedraagt 1450 euro. De Portégé Z20t moet vanaf januari 2015 in de winkels liggen.LG Display heeft aangekondigd in de tweede helft van dit jaar met de productie van notebookpanelen met zijn advanced In-cell touch-technologie te starten. Hierbij zijn de aanraakgevoelige sensoren in de lcd geïntegreerd, waardoor ze dunner en lichter zijn.

Ook de ThinkPad T550 is een high-end-ultrabook, maar dit model heeft een 15,6"-scherm, waarvan de resolutie maximaal 2880x1620 pixels zal bedragen. De processor wordt een Broadwell-model uit de U-generatie en de T550 krijgt maximaal 16GB ram en een ssd met opslagcapaciteit van 512GB. De accu heeft een capaciteit van 72Wh, waarmee een accuduur van 17 uur te behalen zou zijn. De startprijs bedraagt 999 dollar, omgerekend 836 euro en de verkoop start in februari.De T450s en T450 hebben vergelijkbare specificaties als de T550 maar krijgen een 14"-scherm. Een stapje lager in het ThinkPad-productfolio staan de E550 en E450, die echter wel van respectievelijk de AMD Radeon R7 M260- en R7 M265-videokaart voorzien worden. De ThinkPad L450 komt in goedkopere configuraties, zoals met een AMD Radeon R5 M240, en dit model is ook een stuk zwaarder dan de T450. Alle genoemde laptops komen in februari uit.

Lenovo Thinkvision X24De ThinkVision is een zakelijk scherm met diagonaal van 23,8 inch en resolutie van 1920x1080 pixels. Het gaat om monitor met een ips-paneel met displayport en hdmi, waarvan de bijzondere eigenschappen zijn dat de dikte op het dunste punt 7,5mm bedraagt en de achterkant van metaal is voor een high-end-uitstraling. De prijs bedraagt 250 dollar, wat in euro's 209 is.Lenovo kondigt tenslotte de ThinkPad Stack aan. Dit is een serie van accessoires voor de laptops die gestapeld kunnen worden en dan met een enkele kabel aan de laptop verbonden kunnen worden. De onderdelen zijn magnetisch aan elkaar te klikken. Lenovo komt onder andere met een hdd met capaciteit van 1TB, een bluetooth-speaker, een extra accu met capaciteit van 10.000mAh en een wifi-hotspot.Toshiba heeft een nieuwe 2-in-1-laptop voor de Nederlandse markt aangekondigd. Het apparaat bevat een 12,5"-scherm met een resolutie van 1920x1080 pixels. De Portégé Z20t is vanaf januari beschikbaar en de adviesprijs bedraagt 1450 euro.

De Portégé Z20t leunt op een Intel Core M-processor in combinatie met 8GB lpddr3-geheugen en de maximale opslagcapaciteit van de ssd bedraagt 256GB. Het systeem draait op Windows 8.1 Pro en is dan ook op de zakelijke markt gericht.Het ips-scherm met beelddiagonaal van 12,5 inch heeft een resolutie van 1920x1080 pixels. Aan de voorzijde is een webcam die beelden in 1080p kan schieten en aan de achterzijde is nog een camera met capaciteit van 5 megapixel aanwezig. De Portégé Z20t beschikt over wifi, bluetooth 4.0, gigabit-ethernet en een optionele 3g/4g-module. Die versie komt echter pas in februari op de markt. Optioneel is er ook ondersteuning voor Wacom digitizer.

Broadwell is de vijfde generatie Core-processors van Intel en in tegenstelling tot Haswell zijn de chips niet op 22nm, maar op 14nm geproduceerd. Die productie loopt op schema, claimt Intel, en het zou zelfs gaan om de snelste overgang naar een nieuw productieprocedé in de geschiedenis van het bedrijf. Hiermee probeert Intel zorgen weg te nemen dat de productie tegenvalt. Intel moest Broadwell in het verleden uitstellen vanwege problemen met de 14nm-productie. De eerste Broadwell-chips waren overigens de Core m-chips voor tablets en dunne en lichte laptops, die eind 2014 verschenen.Intel claimt dat Broadwell een langere accuduur oplevert bij laptops. In combinatie met Windows 8.1 is onder andere de accuduur in de idle-stand en bij het afspelen van video verbeterd, claimt de fabrikant. Intelligent Throttling voor de i/o en andere aanpassingen op het gebied van energiehuishouding moeten hiervoor zorgen, naast het kleinere productieprocedé van de chips. Daarnaast leidt een verbeterde dsp op de pch tot efficiëntere audio-decodering.

De nieuwe chipgeneratie moet diverse andere Intel-technieken een duw in de rug geven, zoals Intel RealSense, een camerasysteem dat onder andere bediening met gebaren en 3d-scannen mogelijk maakt. Ook zou Broadwell beter toegerust zijn op het afhandelen van de algoritmes voor stemherkenning en valt de introductie van de chipgeneratie samen met de release van Wireless Display v5.1, dat verbeteringen op het gebied van beheer en beveiliging en fullscreenweergave van games biedt.De belangrijkste prestatieverbeteringen zijn op grafisch vlak te vinden. Broadwell markeert de komst van de geïntegreerde HD Graphics 5500-videochip en de krachtigere Iris Graphics 6100-variant. De gpu's ondersteunen weergave van 4k-materiaal, bieden efficiëntere decodering van vp8-, vp9- en hevc-video's, en kunnen sneller beeldmateriaal converteren via Intel Quick Sync. De gpu's zijn volgens Intel 'DirectX 12-ready'.

In januari komen er van alle grote fabrikanten laptops met de Broadwell-chips beschikbaar. In de eerste helft van 2015 komen ook de krachtigere Broadwell-chips voor laptops met een tdp van 45W en de desktopvarianten, terwijl dit jaar bovendien de eerste processors op basis van opvolger Skylake moeten verschijnen.Het Japanse bedrijf Vaio heeft de Vaio Z-laptop nieuw leven ingeblazen. De voormalige Sony-tak brengt in Japan een high-end 13,3"-ultrabook met accuduur van meer dan 15 uur uit. Daarnaast komt er een Canvas-variant met los te koppelen toetsenbord.

De nieuwe Vaio Z wordt met een Core i7-5557U of Core i5-5257U uitgerust, beide in combinatie met Iris 6100-gpu. De laptop krijgt 8GB of 16GB geheugen en een pci-e-ssd met opslagcapaciteit van 128, 256 of 512GB. Het matte 13,3"-scherm toont een resolutie van 2560x1440 pixels en kan omgeklapt worden voor een tabletmodus. De laptop is 16,8mm dik en beschikt over een behuizing van aluminium en koolstofvezels, waarmee het gewicht op 1,34 kilo uitkomt.De accuduur is volgens het bedrijf 15,2 tot 15,5 uur en dit zou gerealiseerd zijn door aanpassingen aan de cellen van de accu, terwijl een speciale weergave-optie voor mindere kijkhoeken, maar nog langere accuduur kan zorgen. Vaio heeft ook zijn Vaio Z Canvas aangekondigd; de 2-in-1-laptop met 12,1"-scherm met resolutie van 2560x1704 pixels, waarvan het bedrijf al eerder een prototype toonde.De nieuwe Vaio Z gaat in Japan 190.000 yen kosten, omgerekend is dat 1410 euro. De Vaio Z Canvas wordt nog een fractie duurder. Beide systemen komen in mei in Japan uit. Of een wereldwijde introductie volgt is nog onbekend.

Lenovo kondigt aan dat er inmiddels 100 miljoen ThinkPad-laptops verkocht zijn. Tegelijkertijd meldt het bedrijf de komst van nieuwe modellen met Intel Broadwell-processors, waaronder de X1 Carbon-ultrabook. Ook komt er een modulair, stapelbaar systeem voor accessoires.Een van de ThinkPad-laptops die een Broadwell-upgrade krijgt is de X1 Carbon-ultrabook. Dit model krijgt een zuinige Intel Core-chip van de U-generatie die volgens de fabrikant voor een accuduur van 10,9 uur moet zorgen in combinatie met een 50Wh-accu. De vorige X1 Carbon zou het bij hetzelfde scenario 8,6 uur volhouden. Daarnaast is de minimum-resolutie van het 14"-scherm waar het model mee geleverd wordt nu 1920x1080 pixels, waar dat bij het vorige model 1600x900 pixels was. Ook maakt Lenovo melding van de optie voor een pci-e-ssd en zijn de muisknoppen boven het touchpad nu standaard terug. De X1 Carbon met Broadwell-chip komt in januari beschikbaar en de startprijs in de VS is 1249 dollar, omgerekend 1046 euro.

Lumix GH4 MikrofonSchon die Lumix GH3 überzeugte die Fachwelt mit ihrer hervorragenden Video-Qualität. Die GH4 wurde entwickelt, die Grenzen zwischen Consumer- und Profi-Videokameras zu überwinden. Einer der wichtigsten Schritte dabei ist die Integration der 4K-Videoaufzeichnung (Cinema 4K: 4096 x 2160/24 B/s und QFHD 4 K: 3840 x 2160/bis zu 30 B/s) im MOV/MP4-Format. Die Lumix GH4 ermöglicht auch die Aufnahme von Full HD-Videos mit extrem hoher Bitrate von 200 Mbit/s (ALL-Intra) oder 100 Mbit/s (IPB). Benutzer können je nach Bedarf wählen zwischen den Formaten MOV, MP4, AVCHD Progressive und AVCHD sowie einer Vielzahl von Bildraten. Im MP4/MOV-Format lässt sich der Ton in hoher LPCM (Linear Pulse Code Modulation)-Klangqualität aufzeichnen. Für den globalen Einsatz können professionelle Anwender zwischen den Systemfrequenzen 59,94Hz (23.98Hz)/50‘00Hz/24.00Hz flexibel wählen.

Die GH4 überträgt in Echtzeit während der Aufnahme Bilder mit 4:2:2/8-Bit-Abtastung über ein optionales micro-HDMI-Kabel an einen externen Monitor oder eine externe Festplatte. Selbst die 4:2:2/10-Bit-Ausgabe für professionelle Zwecke ist bei externer Aufzeichnung möglich, sofern auf die Aufzeichnung per SD-Karte in der Kamera verzichtet wird. Dabei können Nutzer wählen, ob nur der reine Bildinhalt oder auch die Einstellungsmenüs mit übertragen werden.Darüber hinaus erlaubt der VFR(Variable Frame Rate)-Modus die Aufzeichnungen mit verlangsamter oder beschleunigter Bewegung, etwa mit 96 B/s oder 4x in Full HD. Zeitraffer und Stop-Motion-Animation-Videos können auch in der Kamera erzeugt werden.

Zur besseren Kontrolle der Video-Bildqualität ermöglicht die Lumix GH4 die Anzeige eines Zebrastreifen-Musters, das vor ausgeblichenen Lichtern warnt, oder eine Fokus-Peaking-Anzeige mit Hervorhebung scharfer Kanten als Fokussierhilfe. Zur Anpassung des Schwarzwertes bietet die GH4 ein «Master Pedestal»-System, mit dem Nutzer die Helligkeit um ±15 Stufen auf der Basis von Schwarz anpassen können.Im Kreativ-Video-Modus stehen jetzt auch Gamma-Voreinstellungen zur Verfügung. So verleihen «Cinelike D» und «Cinelike V» Videos einen Kino-Look und der Synchro-Scan verhindert flackernde Bilder.Die GH4 ist ausgestattet mit Funktionen, die globalen Standards für synchrone Videoaufzeichnung gerecht werden. Neu sind auch der 1-KHz-Testton und Farbbalken (SMPTE/EBU/ARIB-Standard). Zur Erleichterung der Synchronisation von Video- und Tonmaterial aus verschiedenen Quellen zeichnet die GH4 einen SMPTE-kompatiblen Time Code entweder als «Rec Run» oder «Free Run» auf.

Der Time-Code kann an beliebiger Stelle von [Reset], [Manual Input] und [Current Time] gestartet werden. Ein «Drop-Frame» oder «Non-Drop-Frame»-Time-Code ist wählbar. Bei der Aufzeichnung von Videos im MOV-, AVCHD-progressive-, AVCHD- oder MP4 (LPCM)-Format generiert die GH4 automatisch mehrere nahtlose Dateien für eine ununterbrochene Aufzeichnung. AVCHD Progressive-/AVCHD-Dateien lassen sich jetzt nahtlos ohne Unterbrechung wiedergeben.Insgesamt 21 Lumix G Wechselobjektive passend zur GH4 sorgen für grosse Gestaltungsspielräume und Flexibilität. Insbesondere die HD-Objektive eignen sich mit ihrem leisen und schnellen AF für anspruchsvolle Videoaufnahmen.

Anpassbarer Luminanzbereich. Die GH4 als Foto/Video-Hybrid-Kamera unterstützt die Fotografen bei der Nachbearbeitung, die sich neu mit der Videografie beschäftigen. Zusätzlich zu den Standard-Helligkeitsumfängen von 16-235 und 16-255 bietet die GH4 auch einen besonders niedrigen Bereich von 0-255 wie im Fotobereich üblich (Daten bei 8-bit).Fokus-Peaking. Die Fokus-Peaking-Funktion hilft bei der Fokussierung in den Modi MF und MF+AF. Dazu werden die scharf abgebildeten Kanten im Live-View-Bild des Suchers oder auf dem Monitor farbig hervorgehoben. Die auch abschaltbare Anzeige kann in den Farben Weiss, Blau oder Orange erfolgen und steht in den Stufen hoch/niedrig zur Verfügung. Die Focus-Peak-Kanten werden bei Foto- und Videoaufnahmen angezeigt und bei Fernsteuerung auch auf dem Monitor von Smartphone oder Tablet.

Leise-Modus. Im Leise-Modus für unauffälliges Fotografieren schaltet die Lumix GH4 vom mechanischen auf den geräuschlosen elektronischen Verschluss um und unterdrückt das AF-Hilfslicht sowie die Blitzauslösung.Highlight/Shadow Control. Das Live-View-Bild ermöglicht die separate Anpassung der Lichter- und Schattenwiedergabe über die Einstellräder vorn und hinten an der Kamera. Ergänzend zu drei Voreinstellungen lassen sich drei individuelle Einstellungen speichern.RAW–Daten-Entwicklung in der Kamera. Die GH4 erlaubt die Entwicklung von im RAW-Format aufgezeichneten Bildern in der Kamera. Neben der Wahl des Farbraums (sRGB/AdobeRGB) können die Parameter für Weissabgleich, Belichtungskorrektur, Kontrast, Lichter/Schatten, Rauschunterdrückung, Schärfe, Sättigung und Farbton flexibel angepasst werden. Ebenso lassen sich Lumix Fotostile, die intelligente Dynamikbereichs-Steuerung und die intelligente Auflösung anwenden, benutzen.

Video-Interface (DMW-YAGH). Als Zubehör bietet Panasonic die neue Schnittstelleneinheit DMW-YAGH zur leistungsfähigen Video-Übertragung beim Einsatz der GH4 in einem professionellen oder industriellen Arbeitsumfeld. Die vier parallelen Full HD SDI-Ausgänge (4:2:2/10-Bit) , können auch für 4K (4/10-Bit) genutzt werden. Ein Timecode-Anschluss sorgt für Synchronisation bei Aufnahmen mit mehreren Kameras.Die XLR-Eingänge (2ch) eignen sich zum Anschluss von Line- oder Kondensator-Mikrofonen. Die rechten und linken Kanäle lassen sich separat mit Hilfe einer LED-Anzeige auf der Rückseite des Geräts überwachen und steuern. Das Modul wird über einen 12V-Gleichstrom-Eingang betrieben und versorgt gleichzeitig auch die GH4 mit Strom.Hochleitungs-Systemblitz (DMW-FL580L). Passend zur Lumix GH4 ist optional der neuen Hochleitungs-Systemblitz DMW-FL580L erhältlich. Sein Zoom-Reflektor leuchtet Brennweiten von 12 – 100mm (24-200mm KB) aus. Seine Leitzahl beträgt 58 (ISO 100/m). Mit einer Weitwinkel-Streuscheibe ist die Ausleuchtung bis 7mm (14 mm KB) Super-Weitwinkel mit LZ 26 möglich. Die Zoomeinstellung des Blitzes kann bei kompatiblen Objektiven automatisch mit der Objektivbrennweite gekoppelt werden.

Der FL580L zeichnet sich durch besonders kurze Blitzladezeiten von nur 1,7 Sekunden aus. Kabellos TTL-gesteuerter Blitzbetrieb ist über 4 Kanäle in 3 Gruppen möglich. Eine integrierte LED-Leuchte ist besonders bei Videoaufnahmen praktisch. Ein «Modelling Flash» mit 1 Sekunde Leuchtdauer erlaubt die Vorab-Kontrolle der Blitzwirkung. Weitere Besonderheit ist eine Multi-Flash-Funktion mit bis zu 100 Blitzen bei Frequenzen bis zu 500Hz, um etwa Bewegungsverläufe im Bild darzustellen. Der FL580L wird mit aufsteckbaren Diffusor-, Kunstlicht- und Infrarot-Vorsätzen geliefert.

Nachtrag vom 8. April 2014: Die GH4 wird Ende Mai erhältlich sein. Das Gehäuse (DMC-GH4EG-K) wird 1999 Franken kosten. Sie wird auch im Kit (DMC-GH4HEG-K) mit dem neuen 14-140mm für 2599 Franken, angeboten. Der Preis für die Professional Video Unit (DMW-YAGHE), die weitere Schnittstellen enthält und unter der Kamera befestigt wird, beträgt 2799 Franken.Mit der Hasselblad HV haben die Schweden nun ein weiteres Kameramodell auf Basis einer äusserlich überarbeiteten Sony-Kamera vorgestellt. Dieses Mal handelt es sich wohl um eine Sony Alpha SLT-A99. Entsprechend ist die DSLR-ähnliche SLT-Kamera mit elektronischem Sucher, mit einem 24Mpx-KB-Vollformatsensor, einem elektronischen Sucher und dem A-Mount ausgestattet.

Nach der umstrittenen – um nicht zu sagen verhöhnten – Hasselblad Lunar, einer mit vermeintlich edlen Designelementen und luxuriösen Materialien aufgepimpten Sony NEX-7, und der ähnlich aufgemotzten Hasselblad Stellar auf Basis einer Sony Cyber-Shot RX100, kommt nun eine weitere nach dem Prinzip erstellten Conusmer-Kamera von Hasselblad.Wiederum nimmt Hasselblad ein nicht mehr ganz taufrisches Kameramodell von Sony und unterzieht dies einer Gehäusekosmetik, um die Kamera unter eigenem Namen auf den Markt der (hochpreisigen) Luxusgüter zu bringen und damit Kunden anzusprechen, die etwas Spezielleres suchen und dafür auch speziell viel Geld ausgeben möchten.

Die «neue» Hasselblad HV basiert wohl auf der Sony Alpha SLT-99 und ist kompatibel zum DSLR-Alpha-System (A-Mount), das seinerseits auf das Minolta-A-System zurückgeht. Bei der Kamera handelt es sich also nicht um eine SLR/DSLR im klassischen Sinne, denn anstelle des Rückschwingspiegels kommt ein fest stehender teildurchlässiger Spiegel zum Einsatz. Diese Konstruktion ermöglicht auch bei Live-View- und Video-Betrieb einen schnellen Phasen-AF zu nutzen – was viele Hersteller inzwischen durch Bildsensoren für Hybrid-AF lösen. Ohne den beweglichen Spiegel sind auch schnelle Serienbilder möglich, was nicht nur für die Action-Fotografie, sondern auch für Multishot-Techniken nützlich ist.

Was 2015 the biggest Black Friday ever?
Of course it was! Last year's event saw a record spend in the UK. It was the first year that on just Friday itself UK spending topped 1bn, with £1.1bn spent by British shoppers. The whole weekend including Cyber Monday brought in a staggering £3.3bn for UK retailers, with the Monday on its own not far behind its Friday brother with £968m spent. Cash everywhere.

Traditionally a US thing, Black Friday came to the UK through Amazon and Apple, and in 2016 multiple retailers will offer discounted products for Black Friday and the monday that follows, which is known as Cyber Monday, in the UK.
There are two main schools of thought about where the name Black Friday comes from. The first originates from the streets of Philadelphia, where the term was used to describe the heavy congestion on the roads and shopping high streets thanks to frantic bargain hunters. The second explanation is that Black Friday is a day where shops accounts would go from being in debt to being in profit, thus going from red to black, hence the name Black Friday.
US high-street stores and retailers naturally began offering Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on their websites, which meant many were also available to UK consumers. Apple and Amazon, two of the biggest online retailers, then began offering deals worldwide. Now everyone wants to get in on the act in the UK.

Black Friday 2016 buying advice: What makes a good deal?
While there are lots of amazing tech deals to be had on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it's worth pointing out that not everything will be the good deal that it sounds. Here are some tips for buying tech (and other stuff) on Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2016. Always check the market value for a product. Just because a laptop or a tablet has a 'save 50%' label slapped on it, that doesn't mean you'll be getting it significantly cheaper than you would yesterday or next week. The Black Friday sales can begin a week prior to the event and some will last pretty much up until the beginning of January. Plus sale prices are usually calculated from the RRP, and few products maintain their RRP for their lifetime on sale. It's not unheard of for some retailers to raise their prices immediately before a sale.

This is particularly true of older products, and many of the 'deals' you'll see on Black Friday and Cyber Monday are previous-gen- or poor-quality products the retailer wants to get rid of. That doesn't mean they are not a good buy, but it's worth checking the specification against more recent devices.
The best price might not be on the weekend
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are huge events in retail, but these days someone somewhere has a sale on every day of the year. To grab a bargain on Black Friday you need to be quick, but in your rush to snap up a deal don't forget to read the small print. Carefully check the item description and delivery requirements before you add a product to your basket. If you're buying for Christmas, make sure that product will arrive in time (and bear in mind that at this time of year, and especially after a big sales event such as Black Friday, postal services will have a lot of parcels to ship and may take longer to do so). Shipping charges can also make your purchase go from a quick deal to an extravagance you didn't really need.

Do you really need that item? It's easy to be tempted by bargains, but you're not saving any money at all if you're buying something you probably won't use. HotUKDeals suggests writing a list of what you hope to find ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, then looking for deals on only those products on the day. If you don't visit the sale pages you can't be tempted.
Be sensible online
Don't buy anything that you can't afford, and be careful how you pay. Well we can't promise anything but you might find something which suits your needs without blowing your bank balance. Typically, it's hard to get something which is capable of demanding tasks like these examples within a tight budget and we'll explore why. Technology companies love a bit of one-upmanship. At IFA 2016 Acer has announced the Swift 7, the world’s thinnest laptop. When closed, its thickest edge measures 9.98mm, which makes it the first laptop to be under 1cm thick. A fine achievement, but does it warrant you one? We went hands-on - read our Acer Swift 7 review.

ACER SWIFT 7 REVIEW: UK PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
Acer has priced the European release of the Swift 7 at €1,299, which at the time of writing is £1,090. This makes it more expensive than Apple’s thin as a pancake £1,049 MacBook, so Acer is firmly in premium territory. Then again, the Swift 7 has an Intel Core m7 processor whereas that MacBook at that price has only an m3.
The exact UK price and release date for the Swift 7 are to be confirmed but it’ll be out at some point in October 2016.

It’s thin. Really, really thin. While Acer has gone all-out with the ‘world’s thinnest’ marketing line, you can’t ignore the fact this laptop is a design marvel. 9.98mm at its thickets point when closes means the Swift 7 will slide into a bag like a magazine. It’s got a 13.3in screen with Gorilla Glass, which is great but unusual for a laptop, along with a clever hinge design that displays two performance indicator lights when open or closed. It’s actually a shame that this aspect of the design isn’t utilised a bit better to give the user more information – it’s just two tiny lights.

The lid is a metallic black while the base is a metallic gold. This is currently the only colour option, and follows the lead of Apple and HP (with its Spectre ultrabook) by introducing gold into its premium range of laptops. That gold base houses a full size keyboard which at first glance looks like the keys might be too far apart. Happily, we spent a fair few minutes typing on the Swift 7 and there are no issues. The keys have great travel and their quality reinforces the high-end nature of the product.
The Swift 7 also has a huge trackpad, at 72mm to be precise. We’re not sure why it’s so huge, but it means navigation through Windows 10 is an absolute breeze so we can’t complain. Overall we can’t really fault the design, though if compared to other ultrabooks like Dell’s XPS 13, the bezel around the screen is quite wide, and it doesn’t feel as disappear-in-your-bag portable as the MacBook, but that’s a slightly unfair comparison given Apple’s laptop has a smaller 12in screen.
If you like the Acer Swift 7’s design at first sight, then none of this will matter anyway – and it is gorgeous.

The Swift 7 has a 13.3in full HD IPS display that reproduces colours very well, and pages are readable even on the lowest brightness setting. As we mentioned previously, it has a Core m7 processor, Intel’s current highest spec Core m chip. That’s paired with 8GB RAM and a 256GB solid state drive. The combination should prove very effective, and we are looking forward to putting it through its paces in a full review soon.
Acer has also taken the USB-C jump, giving the Swift 7 two of the ports for charging, data transfer and external display connections. There are no other ports besides a headphone jack.

We’ll have to explore the full features of the laptop in a longer review, including the wisdom behind putting the Dolby Audio speakers on the bottom of the casing. It means that audio sounds great when the unit is on a flat table surface, as it creates a decent amplification. However, we found that sound was less easy to hear when on our lap, which is a little frustrating as it ended up feeling like a compromise to achieve the thinness it so boasts.
We chatted about IFA after we got back on our podcast. Listen here from 32 minutes: After the initial good impressions of this laptop’s exquisite design, we feel it can live up to its billing. The fact the Swift 7 has a Core m7 at the price point works in its favour, and it has the potential to fall into the laps of business users and consumers alike. We reckon the full dimensions could be a little smaller but that is nit-picking. Acer has done superbly to create such elegant hardware and it stands up well next to its rivals.

As much as we can, we make sure all the laptops in the chart are available to but in the UK. However, it's not something we can check every day so there's a chance you might not find the model listed. There are also often many different SKUs (versions/models) of a laptop so the specs might vary to those on the model we've reviewed (we can't always choose the exact model to review).
Most laptops will come pre-installed with Windows 10 now. Of course, our best laptops group test also includes the best MacBooks, which run OS X (now macOS) out of the box. Macs are often more expensive than Windows laptops, but Apple's laptops are better value than ever before. You might feel that the premium build quality and features warrant spending extra, although many Windows laptop manufacturers have stepped up their game recently.
Best laptops 2016: How much should I spend on a laptop?

In this chart, there's no cap on how much the device can cost – sometimes the best does come at a steep price. Equally you can get a lot of laptop for under £300 – provided you only need to do basic tasks like browse the web, email and create the odd document. If so see the best budget laptops.Spending a bit more, around £500 and above, will potentially get you a nice laptop but it's likely to have an entry-level set of specs. We're talking a relatively basic processor, minimal SSD storage and a low resolution screen. It might also be a bit heavy and bulky. Ramp up the amount you're happy to splash out - £800 and up - and you'll be looking at the best of the best with a blazing fast processor, plenty of RAM, hordes of storage and a gorgeous display. You should also expect excellent build quality and premium materials.

The size of your screen is an important decision when buying a laptop. After all they typically range from 11- all the way up to 17in.
A smaller screen might be harder to work on but it means that the laptop will be far more portable, handy if you need to take it around with you wherever you go. Bear in mind that a smaller device means less space for features like ports.
At 17in, you're buying a desktop replacement laptop which isn't deigned to be moved around often. You'll likely get a full-size keyboard, lots of connectivity and possibly even an optical drive, too.
Generally, unless you're looking at either end of the spectrum, a 13in laptop is the sweet spot for us combining portability with usability.
While many laptops have a resolution of 1366x768, you should look for something more if you want the best. Full HD (1920x1080) and higher should be a tick box and you can even get 4K laptops now, although arguably it's not necessary.
If you want a touchscreen, this normally adds to the cost. Most laptops come with a glossy screen but most people prefer a less reflective matt finish so that's something to look out for, too.
Best laptops 2016: How much storage do I need?

As usual, storage depends on what you want to use a laptop for. As a general rule of thumb get as much as possible without wasting money on the upgrade (manufactures can charge a premium on this area).
An SSD will mean your laptop runs faster but doesn't provide as much space as a traditional hard drive. Remember that there are also plenty of cloud storage options but this isn't so helpful when you don't have an internet connection.
If you're going to need to storing a large amount of data (perhaps you make home videos or you simply want all your TV box sets ready to go) then look for 1- or 2TB of space. Don't forget you can buy a portable USB drive to supplement a laptop which has only a small-capacity SSD.

Memory (RAM) is where programs and files are stored only while you're using them, and more is always better. Consider 4GB an absolute minimum, unless it's a Chromebook, with 8- to 16GB the ideal figure if you can afford the upgrade. You can't have too much. Best laptops 2016: Which laptop processor is best? Unless you're going to run complex and demanding software or gaming, you don't need the latest top-spec processor. It doesn't hurt, of course, but it's best to find a nice balance as there's nothing worse than waiting for a app to load etc.
If you're happy to splash out then you're probably looking at the latest generation (6th) Intel Core i7 chip. Entry-level spec models are likely to offer a Core i3 or even a Core M processor instead. A Core i5 sits nicely in-between so check how much extra it is to upgrade before making a final decision. If you're not sure which generation the Intel processor is, look at the model number as the first digit represents this. For example, a Core i5-6500 is a sixth-generation CPU.

Best laptops 2016: Ultrabooks and ultraportable laptops
Buying an ultraportable laptop is really no different than any laptop, except that your priorities are likely to be different. You might want an ultraportable laptop that's light and will last a long time away from the mains.
However, other people want an ultrabook that's powerful and can handle demanding applications without breaking your back when you carry it around. Both types are available.
Some compromises are inevitable if you want a thin and light laptop, though. There's less space for a battery, so it's typical to find shorter runtimes. But some companies have overcome this with clever packaging, such as the MacBook Air.
Another factor is efficient hardware, so a newer processor is likely to sip rather than guzzle power. The same goes for other components. But you should always read our reviews to find out how long a particular laptop lasted in our tests as you can't rely on specifications and it's unwise to go only by manufacturers' claims.

Thin laptops tend to have shallow key travel, so if you need a laptop to do a lot of typing then, again, read our reviews as they're the only way (short of hunting down the machine in a shop) to find out whether a keyboard is a joy or a pain to use.
Many ultrabooks use low-power processors which are better for battery life, but may not have much power for running Windows apps. Our benchmarks sort the speed demons from the sluggards.
The best laptops of 2016: Warranty and other considerations
We recommend all the laptops here: there isn't a duff one among them. However, we urge you again to read through the full review before spending your hard-earned cash. None of them are perfect and what will suit your needs might not simply be the device ranked at number one.

Battery life and warranty are two things which vary between laptops. The latter may well differ depending on where you buy the laptop from, too. John Lewis, for example, tends to offer longer warranty than rivals.
After-sales service is something you should consider, not only laptops but pretty much everything you buy. Check whether the company has a UK-based support line, and forums (including our own) are an ideal place to get an idea of whether a manufacturer is generally good or bad at carrying out work under warranty.

Taking notes by hand is better than writing them on a laptop for remembering conceptual information over the long term, a new study has found.
"Our new findings suggest that even when laptops are used as intended - and not for buying things on Amazon during class - they may still be harming academic performance," said Pam Mueller of Princeton University, lead author of the study.

Mueller and researcher Daniel Oppenheimer, who is now at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), conducted a series of studies to investigate whether their intuitions
about laptop and longhand note-taking were true. In the first study, 65 college students watched one of five TED Talks covering topics that were interesting but not common knowledge.
The students, who watched the talks in small groups, were either given laptops (disconnected from Internet) or notebooks, and were told to use whatever strategy they normally used to take notes. The students then completed three distractor tasks, including a taxing working memory task. A full 30 minutes later, they had to answer factual-recall questions based on the lecture they had watched.
The results showed that while the two types of note-takers performed equally well on questions that involved recalling facts, laptop note-takers performed significantly worse on the conceptual questions. The notes from laptop users contained more words and more verbatim overlap with the lecture, compared to the notes that were written by hand.

Overall, students who took more notes performed better, but so did those who had less verbatim overlap, suggesting that the benefit of having more content is cancelled out by
'mindless transcription.' "It may be that longhand note takers engage in more processing than laptop note takers, thus selecting more important information to include in their notes, which enables them to study this content more efficiently," researchers said.
Surprisingly, the researchers saw similar results even when they explicitly instructed the students to avoid taking verbatim notes, suggesting that the urge to do so when typing
is hard to overcome. Researchers also found that longhand note takers still beat laptop note takers on recall one week later when participants were given a chance to review their notes before taking the recall test.

Once again, the amount of verbatim overlap was associated with worse performance on conceptual items. The findings are published in the journal Psychological Science.

Una volta compreso il meccanismo alla base dei PokéStop e delle Palestre Pokémon, è arrivato il momento di scendere in strada e andare alla ricerca di Pokémon da poter catturare. Accu LENOVO G570

Er zijn afbeeldingen en details opgedoken van de HP Stream, een Windows 8.1-laptop die voor 199 dollar te koop zal zijn. HP had de details op zijn eigen site gezet, maar de webpagina's zijn inmiddels weer verdwenen.De HP Stream heeft volgens de details die op de site van HP stonden en die MobileGeeks als eerste opmerkte een 14"-scherm met een resolutie van 1366x768 pixels met een typische maximale helderheid van 200 nits. De laptop draait op een AMD A4 Micro-6400T-processor, een quadcore op 1,6GHz. De apu bevat ook Radeon R3-graphics. Het werkgeheugen heeft een maximale grootte van 2GB.

De laptop heeft geen hdd aan boord, maar moet het doen met intern flashgeheugen met een capaciteit van 32GB of 64GB. Als aansluitingen heeft de laptop een hdmi 1.4-uitgang, twee usb 2.0-poorten en een usb 3.0-aansluiting. De laptop weegt 1,75 kilo en heeft een 32Wh-accu.Marktonderzoekbureau GfK heeft becijferd dat er op de Nederlandse markt weer meer omzet gehaald is uit laptops dan uit tablets. Alhoewel tablets aan een opmars bezig waren, staat de prijs ervan onder druk, aldus het onderzoek.De meest recente bevindingen zijn door GfK op zijn website gepubliceerd. Daaruit blijkt dat er in het afgelopen kwartaal in Nederland meer omzet is behaald uit laptops dan uit tablets. Dat is voor het eerst sinds een jaar tijd, aldus GfK. Reden hiervoor zou zijn dat de gemiddelde prijs op de tabletmarkt onder druk staat: ondanks de grotere afzet van tablets stijgt de omzet niet evenredig mee, iets dat veroorzaakt zou worden omdat steeds meer fabrikanten het met goedkope tabletmodellen proberen, waardoor de concurrentie op prijs toeneemt.

Binnen de laptopmarkt zorgen vooral de 'thin and light'-modellen en traditionele laptops voor een omzetstijging vergeleken met het voorgaande kwartaal. Andere groepen, alhoewel deze niet gedefinieerd worden, zouden juist een omzetdaling hebben genoteerd in het laatste kwartaal, vergeleken met het kwartaal daarvoor.Dell start volgende week met de verkoop van de XPS 11-hybride en nieuwe XPS 13- en XPS 15-laptops in Nederland. Ook de levering van de Venue 11 Pro-tablet met Bay Trail-soc en Windows 8.1 start volgend week.

Dell kondigde de nieuwe XPS-modellen begin oktober aan, maar op 20 november gaat de levering in Nederland van start. De XPS 11 is een nieuw model in de XPS-reeks. Het gaat om een hybride met 11"-touchscreen, met een resolutie van 2560x1440 pixels. Het scherm is volledig om te klappen voor de tabletmodus. Het gewicht van de XPS 11 is 1,1kg en de hybride is 15mm dik, op het dunste punt 11mm. Dell voorziet de XPS 11 van Core i3's en Core i5's van de Haswell-generatie, 4GB werkgeheugen en ssd's met opslagcapaciteiten van 80GB, 128GB of 256GB. De aansluitingen betreffen twee usb 3.0-poorten, hdmi en een sd-geheugenkaartsleuf. De startprijs van de hybride is 949 euro.

De XPS 15 is een upgrade van het bestaande model: de resolutie is verhoogd naar 3200x1800 pixels en een touchscreen is optioneel. Dell voorziet modellen van Core i5-dualcores tot Core i7-quadcores en, optioneel, Nvidia GeForce-videokaarten. De opslagcapaciteit bedraagt maximaal 1TB met een caching-ssd van 32GB, maar ook kan voor een ssd met maximale opslagcapaciteit van 512GB gekozen worden. De XPS 15 komt 20 november voor een vanafprijs van 1699 euro.Het verschil van de nieuwe XPS 13-ultrabook ten opzichte van de oude is dat deze zuinige Haswell-processors krijgt. Hierdoor zou de accuduur 10,5 uur bedragen, maar niet bekend is onder welke omstandigheden deze tijd gehaald werd. De resolutie van het scherm is nog steeds 1920x1080 pixels en touchfunctionaliteit is optioneel. De startprijs van de kleine ultrabook met 13"-scherm is 1199 euro.

De Venue Pro 11-tablet is een concurrent van de Surface Pro, maar Dell levert versies van zijn apparaat niet alleen met Haswell-Core i3's en Core i5's, maar ook met zuinigere en goedkopere Bay Trail-socs. De tablet heeft een 11"-scherm met een resolutie van 1920x1080 pixels en een verwisselbare accu. De tablet kan gecombineerd worden met een dun Slim Keyboard annex cover of een wat dikker Mobile Keyboard met extra accu. De Venue Pro 11 komt 19 november in de Benelux beschikbaar voor iets minder dan 500 euro.AMD zou zijn laptop- en ultraportable-platform met de codenaam Deccan hebben geschrapt of tenminste voor onbepaalde tijd hebben opgeschort. Het bedrijf zou problemen ondervinden met het ontwerp of de productie van de chips.

Het Deccan-platform, dat bestaat uit moederborden met daarop apu's met de codenamen Krishna en Wichita, moest in de loop van 2012 op de markt verschijnen. De apu's zouden door TSMC geproduceerd worden en op 28nm gebakken worden, maar volgens Xbit-labs is het platform vooralsnog niet op de roadmap van AMD opgenomen. Daarbij zou niet bekend zijn of de vertraging of het schrappen van de apu's te wijten is aan ontwerpproblemen of aan TSMC dat de chips niet zou kunnen produceren.De Krishna-apu's moesten zuinige opvolgers van de Ontario-apu's worden, die een tdp van maximaal 9W zouden krijgen. De apu's zouden voorzien worden van een of twee Bobcat-cores van de tweede generatie, ofwel Enhanced Bobcat-cores, gecombineerd met een gpu uit de Northern Islands-serie. De krachtigere Wichita-serie zou voorzien worden van twee tot vier Enhanced Bobcat-cores, een Northern Islands-gpu en een tdp tot 20W.

Met het wegvallen van het Deccan-platform zou AMD ervoor kiezen zijn huidige Ontario- en Zacate-apu's, die onderdeel van het Brazos-platform zijn, iets te verbeteren. Dit zou het Brazos 2.0-platform moeten opleveren, met licht verbeterde prestaties ten opzichte van het huidige Brazos-platform. Zo zouden de Bobcat-cores nog steeds gebruikt worden, maar zou wel een modernere gpu in de apu geïntegreerd worden. Ook de chipset, de 'A68 Fusion controller hub', zou als extra onder meer usb 3.0-connectiviteit bieden. Het aanpassen van Brazos-hardware voor de Brazos 2.0-generatie zou relatief eenvoudig zijn.

Een van de nieuwe Brazos 2.0-apu's zou de E1-1200 worden. Deze krijgt twee Bobcat-cores met een kloksnelheid van 1,4GHz, 1MB cache, een Radeon HD 7310-gpu met 80 streamprocessors met een kloksnelheid van 500MHz, en een tdp van 18W. De E2-1800 zou zijn twee cores op 1,7GHz klokken, een snellere HD 7340-gpu met 80 streamprocessors op 680 of 523MHz krijgen, en eveneens een tdp van 18W hebben. De nieuwe Brazos 2.0-chips worden nog op 40nm geproduceerd en verschijnen waarschijnlijk rond april. Lenovo heeft aangekondigd zijn dat zijn kleine A10-laptop in Nederland 229 euro gaat kosten. De 10,1"-laptop met touchscreen draait een aangepaste versie van Android 4.2. De processor is een quadcore Rockchip RK3188.Een paar weken geleden maakte Lenovo zijn A10 per ongeluk wereldkundig en nu heeft de Chinese fabrikant de Nederlandse release aangekondigd. De kleine hybride gaat hier 229 euro kosten. Volgens het bedrijf is het gewicht van de laptop minder dan een kilo en de dikte bedraagt 17,3mm op het dikste punt. De accuduur zou 9 uur bedragen bij het afspelen van video. Lenovo heeft onder andere een app launcher, taskbar, statusbar en eigen bestandsbeheer toegevoegd aan Android 4.2.

De hybride A10 heeft een omklapbaar 10,1"-touchscreen. Helemaal om te klappen is het scherm niet, maar wel biedt het apparaat een Stand Mode of theater-modus voor weergave van presentaties of films. De resolutie van het scherm is 1366x768 pixels. Verder is er 1GB of 2GB werkgeheugen en een ssd van 16GB of 32GB, afhankelijk van de configuratie. De processor van het apparaat is een Rockchip RK3188: een ARM-quadcore met een maximale kloksnelheid van 1,6GHz. Verder zijn er twee usb 2.0-poorten, is er een micro-usb-poort, is er ruimte voor een microsd-geheugenkaart en beschikt het apparaat over hdmi. De laptop heeft ook ondersteuning voor bluetooth en wifi. De accucapaciteit is 22,6Whr.

Apple heeft dinsdag zijn MacBook Pro-laptops een update gegeven. De 13"- en 15"-modellen beschikken nu over Intel Haswell-processors en hebben langere accuduur en ondersteuning voor 802.11ac-wifi. Beide MacBook Pro-laptops zijn per direct verkrijgbaar.Apple heeft de 13"-MacBook Pro met Retina-scherm ook iets dunner gemaakt: hij is nu 18mm dik, waar de vorige 13"-Retina-Macbook Pro 19mm dik was. Het gewicht is 1,5 kilogram.De prijzen beginnen bij 1329 euro voor de 13"-uitvoering, 200 euro lager dan het vorige model. De 13" MacBook Pro heeft een Retina-display met resolutie van 2560x1600 pixels, een 2,4GHz Core i5 Haswell-dualcore met Iris-graphics en 4GB werkgeheugen. De pci-e-ssd biedt een opslagcapaciteit van 128GB. Er zijn ook varianten met 8GB ddr3 en ssd-capaciteiten van 256GB en 512GB. Het model met de grootste ssd-opslag heeft bovendien een iets snellere cpu.

Het 15"-model van de MacBook Pro met Retina-scherm heeft standaard Iris Pro-graphics. De Iris Pro-gpu van de Intel-quadcore biedt vergelijkbare prestaties als de GT 650M die de vorige 15" MacBook Pro met Retina-scherm had. De Intel Core i7 Haswell-processor tikt op 2GHz, terwijl het werkgeheugen 8GB groot is. Standaard wordt de laptop met een 256GB ssd geleverd voor 2029 euro. Dat is eveneens 200 euro lager dan de vorige startprijs. Het gaat om een pci-e ssd, die 60 procent snellere leessnelheden zou bieden dan de ssd van de vorige 15"-MacBook Pro met Retina-scherm. Er komt een andere standaard-variant met snellere Core i7, 16GB ddr3 en ssd met capaciteit van 512GB. De gpu van dit model is de GeForce GT 750M. Apple biedt nog verdere configuratie-opties, met de keuze om maximaal 16GB ddr3 en 1TB flashopslag toe te voegen.De laptops zijn voorzien van Thunderbolt 2-aansluitingen en beide modellen gaan over 802.11ac wifi-ondersteuning beschikken. Dit is de opvolger van 802.11n die theoretisch tot drie keer zo hoge doorvoersnelheid biedt in combinatie met een 802.11ac-basisstation.

Nikon stellt heute die neue Vollformat-Spiegelreflexkamera die D750 vor. Sie reiht sich zwischen der D610 und der D810 ein und besitzt einen neu entwickelten Bildsensor im 24 Megapixel FX-Sensor, der seine Stärken besonders in den hohen ISO-Empfindlichkeiten haben soll. Zudem ist sie mit einem neigbaren Monitor und integrierter Wi-Fi-Funktion ausgestattet. Samsung Electronics bringt mit dem neuen Galaxy S5 mini eine staub- und wassergeschützte Kompaktversion ihres aktuellen Smartphone-Flaggschiffes. Es ist leistungsstark, hat einige Merkmale des grossen Galaxy S5, darunter Sicherheitsfunktionen wie einen Fingerabdruckscanner und die trendigen Fitness Tools.Hasselblad hat soeben die offizielle Markteinführung der H5D-50c bekannt gegeben. Sie wurde bereits im Januar 2014 als erste Mittelformatkamera mit CMOS-Bildsensor anstelle des sonst üblichen CCD-Sensors vorangekündigt.

Die neue H5D-50c mit einem 50-Mpx-Sensor wurde Mitte Januar als erste Mittelformatkamera mit CMOS-Bildsensor angekündigt. (Wenige Tage später folgten erst Phase One und nochmals einige Tage später auch Pentax mit ähnlichen News.) Die H5D-50c feierte dann drei Wochen später auf der Fotomesse CP+ in Japan ihr Debüt.Jetzt ist die H5D-50c laut Hasselblad weltweit erhältlich. Auf Rückfrage bei Light + Byte, dem Schweizer Distributor für Hasselblad-Produkte, sollen Kameras Ende Woche eintreffen und somit ab nächster Woche (spätestens ab Mitte März) für ein Hands-on im Laden zur Verfügung stehen.

Hasselblad hat mit der Auslieferung seiner bahnbrechenden H5D-50c begonnen und feiert sie als weltweit erstes komplett integriertes Mittelformatkamerasystem, in dem die CMOS-Sensortechnologie zum Einsatz kommt. «Jetzt können Fotografen unabhängig von den Lichtverhältnissen ultimative Bildqualität erzielen» – Ove Bengtson, Produktmanager von Hasselblad.Die herausragende ISO-Leistung des neuen Modells mit CMOS-Sensor lässt die Mittelformatfotografie buchstäblich in einem neuen Licht erstrahlen. Peter und Ursula Schäublin haben es zusammen mit Marco Huber mit dem rund zehnmal teureren Canon EF 1:4/200–400mm L IS USM Extender 1.4x verglichen …Mitten im Winter landet das Tamron SP 5–6.3/150–600 mm Di VC USD zu einem Test bei mir. Ein bisschen grösser und ein bisschen schwerer als mein Canon 100–400 mm ist es, aber bei einem Zoombereich bis 600 mm bekommt natürlich jeder Wildnisfotograf Herzklopfen, besonders wenn man dann auf der Tamron Homepage nur Superlative über diese Linse liest und bei den Preisrecherchen sieht, dass die lange Röhre für relativ wenig Geld zu haben ist.

Oben: Das Tamron SP 5–6.3/150–600 mm, unten das rund zehnmal teurere Canon EF 4.5–5.6/200–400 mm L IS USM mit integriertem 1.4x Extender Wie gerne hätte ich dieses Objektiv auf meiner letzten Alaskareise dabei gehabt. Denn wenn ich mein Canon EF 4.5–5.6/100–400 mm L IS USM mit dem 1.4x Extender an meine EOS 5D MkIII montiere, ist der Autofokus dahin. Das gibt mir bis heute Rätsel auf. Setze ich dieselbe Kombination an meine «alte» EOS 1DS MkIII, dann funktioniert der Autofokus wunderbar. Mit der viel neueren 5D MkIII geht’s nicht. Da kommt der Verdacht auf, dass Canon den Autofokus softwaremässig sperrt, um das neue EF 200–400 mm mit eingebautem Extender zu pushen. Nur – dieses Objektiv ist mit einem Verkaufspreis von rund CHF 15’000 .– in ganz anderen Sphären. Nikon-Fotografen kommen übrigens für «ihr» 200–400er mit rund CHF 8’000.– bedeutend günstiger weg, allerdings hat es keinen eingebauten Extender. Ob diese zwei Objektive wohl so viel besser sind als das Tamron mit seinem Listenpreis von rund CHF 1’590.–? Mehr Informationen zu dieser Frage finden Sie in der zweiten Hälfte dieses Artikels. Erst gilt die Konzentration ganz dem Tamron SP 150–600 mm dessen Lichtstärke übrigens mit 5–6.3 in einem akzeptablen, für diese Preisklasse sogar hervorragenden Rahmen liegt.

Das Objektiv wirkt sehr solide. Auf 150 mm ist es noch einigermassen kompakt, wenn man es auf 600 mm ausfährt, wird es logischerweise dann doch etwas lang. Gewichtsmässig ist es für diesen Brennweitenbereich mit knapp zwei Kilogramm ein Leichtgewicht, das man im Fotorucksack auch noch mitnimmt. Ich muss mich umstellen, weil der Drehzoomberich gegen den Uhrzeigersinn geht und nicht, wie ich es mir gewohnt bin, im Uhrzeigersinn. Offen gestanden finde ich in diesem Bereich ein Schiebezoom besser – es erlaubt ein schnelleres Anpassen des Bildausschnitts als ein Drehzoom. Der Drehweg beim Tamron ist sehr lange, ich hätte ihn mir eher etwas kürzer gewünscht, aber vielleicht ging das konstruktionsbedingt nicht anders.

Kein Blitz Canon EOS 5D MkIII, Tamron SP 5-6.3/150-600 mm VC USD, 600 mm, 1/320 Sek, f 6.3, 1000 ISO, ohne Stativ, leichter Ausschnitt Wie eingangs erwähnt hätte ich das Objektiv am liebsten bei einer meiner Alaskareisen eingesetzt. Bei den Grizzlies hätte es seine Stärken voll ausspielen können. Doch wie mitten im Winter ein paar realistische Aufnahmesituationen für das Objektiv finden? Eine Reise nach Alaska bringt nichts – die Bären halten zur Zeit ihre Winterruhe ;-). So packen meine Frau Ursula und ich die Fotoausrüstung ein und besuchen die Masoala-Regenwaldhalle des Zürcher Zoos. Seinen ersten Härtetest erlebt das Objektiv beim Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitsunterschied zwischen kalter Schweiz und feuchtwarmem Regenwaldklima. Logisch, dass die Frontlinse sofort beschlägt. Doch im Inneren des Objektivs bildet sich kein Kondenswasser. Keine Innenlinsen beschlagen. Will heissen: Die Röhre ist sehr gut gegen Wettereinflüsse abgedichtet. Spitze. Nach einer kurzen Akklimatisierungsphase kann ich mit Fotografieren starten. Vögel, Chamäleons und Lemuren tummeln sich in der Halle.

Zuerst einmal kommt die Kamera mit der Riesenröhre aufs Stativ. Der Autofokus arbeitet präzise und lautlos. Das Licht in der Masoalahalle ist logischerweise nicht allzu üppig, besonders wenn es draussen bewölkt ist. Die hohen ISO-Werte sind vorprogrammiert, was aber für die EOS 5D MkIII kein Problem darstellt. Meist komme ich mit 2’000 bis 4’000 ISO klar, in Extremsituationen muss ich die Empfindlichkeit bis auf 12’800 ISO pushen. Die Schärfentiefe bei 600 mm mit offener Blende ist gering. Wenn ich den Fokus beispielsweise beim Chamäleon nicht exakt aufs Auge lege, wirkt das Bild unscharf. Weil die Echse ja richtig aufgesetzte Glubschaugen hat, ist die Gefahr dafür gross. Das Rezept dagegen heisst: Viele Bilder machen, immer wieder neu fokussieren.Danach arbeite ich mit dem Objektiv aus der Hand, was wegen des noch einigermassen anständigen Gewichts und dem eingebauten Bildstabilisator sehr gut möglich ist.

Dank dem extremen Brennweitenbereich kann ich schnell auf sich verändernde Positionen der Tiere reagieren. Gerade die Wasservögel sind oft flott unterwegs, und der Vierfach-Zoombereich macht sich sehr angenehm bemerkbar. Tiere, die sich nicht allzu nah am Weg aufhalten, lassen sich mit 600 mm nah heranzoomen.Schwierige Lichtsituation beim Rodriguez-Flughund (Pteropus rodricensis), der praktisch im Gegenlicht hing. Das Tamron hat‘s super hingekriegt. Ich ziehe die Bilder auf den Rechner und bin beeindruckt: Das Tamron SP 150–600 mm liefert sehr gute Resultate. Einzig zwischen 400 und 600 mm lässt die Schärfe ein wenig nach, und die Resultate werden etwas flau. Mit etwas Photoshop-Kenntnissen lässt sich dieses Manko zum Teil wieder wettmachen. Der Bildstabilisator hat auch einen guten Job gemacht (siehe Beispielbilder).

Batteria Dell Inspiron 1564

Esistono due modi differenti per ricalibrare la batteria e quindi ripristinare la giusta lettura della percentuale, così da poter riutilizzare in modo completo (al 100% vero) la carica della batteria, uno per gli smartphone e uno per i computer portatili. Non è detto che questi metodi funzionino con tutte le batterie perchè naturalmente se le batterie sono danneggiate o hanno parecchi anni, o sono state ricaricate molte volte, può darsi che ormai siano da sostituire.
Uno dei pochi consigli da tenere in considerazione è che non ci sono nè applicazioni nè programmi che permettono di effettuare la calibrazione magicamente (a meno che non ci aiutino a velocizzare la procedura indicata nella guida più in basso), questo perchè essenzialmente è necessario scaricare completamente la batteria (fino allo 0%) per riportarla poi alla carica completa (al 100%).

Se abbiamo già letto questa guida per aumentare la durata della batteria del nostro smartphone sapremo benissimo che non bisogna mai far scaricare completamente la batteria, nè caricarla completamente, ma in questo caso è proprio necessario fare questa operazione per ricalibrarla completamente e poi possiamo stare tranquilli perchè la batteria ha un sistema di sicurezza interno che evita la scarica completa reale della batteria (perchè altrimenti non si ricaricherebbe più) mentre al 100% può arrivare benissimo, anche se è meglio non farla arrivare molto spesso.

Un video di Vox spiega perché il caricabatterie del computer portatile si scalda: c’entra la differenza tra corrente alternata (CA o AC dall’inglese: Alternating Current) e corrente continua (CC o DC dall’inglese: Direct Current). La corrente alternata è quella che "esce dal muro”, mentre la corrente continua è quella che utilizzano i computer, gli smartphone e altri dispositivi tecnologici.
La batteria del portatile è uno dei componenti soggetti a maggiore usura. L'invecchiamento delle batterie è un processo che non può essere evitato; tutt'al più, seguendo alcune semplici linee guida, può essere notevolmente rallentato.
Le vecchie batterie al nichel soffrivano del celeberrimo "effetto memoria": se caricate ripetutamente senza arrivare alla carica completa, tali batterie tendevano a "ricordare" la capacità energetica precedente alla ricarica. Caricando una batteria al 70% quindi effettuando successivamente una ricarica, il 30% della capacità energetica tendeva a non essere più "visto".
Nelle più moderne batterie al litio (ioni di litio, Li.ion) l'"effetto memoria" non esiste perché non si ha alcuna modificazione delle dimensioni dei grani o della struttura cristallina dei materiali elettrodici.
I liquidi presenti all'interno delle batterie agli ioni di litio, tuttavia, debbono essere sempre tenuti "in movimento". Ciò significa che ogni tanto è bene effettuare dei cicli di ricarica completi. Spieghiamo meglio questo punto.

Le operazioni che potete condurre anche senza una particolare consocenza riguardano l’ avvio in modalità provvisoria, che vi permetterà di controllare la bontà del sistema ed eseguire alcune operazioni di sistemazione.Per avviare questo tipo di modalità, dovrete schiacciare il pulsante di accensione e premere ripetutamente il tasto F8. Ricordate che la funzione è attiva su tutti i sistemi Windows fino alla versione 7, mentre Windows 8 e 8.1 non godono più di questo stratagemma.In alternativa potete procedere con un disco di ripristino, un’operazione che permette di accedere al computer prima del caricamento del sistema operativo: in questo caso dovrete utilizzare un secondo computer e raggiungere uno dei siti di produttori di antivirus (come Kaspersky Rescue Disk, Comodo Rescue Disk, Avira Rescue System e AVG Rescue CD) i quali vi permetteranno di scaricare su un CD, DVD o USB un disco di ripristino da inserire nella portatile non funzionante. Sarà necessario solamente inserire il CD e avviare il computer: il disco farà tutto da solo.

Una volta ottenuto un minimo controllo sul sistema, capire da dove deriva il problema potrebbe essere veramente un’impresa: tuttavia possiamo suggerirvi di provare a concentrarvi sui due errori più comuni. Il primo riguarda i driver, programmi che permettono alle periferiche e al sistema di "parlarsi” e di funzionare: verificate che siano aggiornati o al contrario, se li avete recentemente aggiornati, provate a tornare al driver precedente (i driver grafici in particolar modo sono quelli che più spesso danno problemi).

Infine provate a eseguire un test contro i virus che colpiscono proprio l’avvio del computer, tramite le opzioni che avrete a disposizione. L’ultima spiaggia è rappresentata dal reset della macchina. Solitamente vi sono due soluzioni, la prima ripristina il sistema conservando i vostri dati (un Rescue Disk fatto delle case antivirus molto spesso risolve il problema) mentre la seconda, da adottare solo in casi estremi, prevede l’esecuzione di un reset totale che comprenda anche l’eliminazione dei dati.

Die RX1R II verfügt als erste Digitalkamera über einen variablen optischen Tiefpassfilter, mit dem das Verhältnis zwischen Bildauflösung und dem Auftreten von Moiré-Effekten oder Farbartefakten je nach Motiv manuell angepasst werden kann.
Zu den drei Einstellungen des Tiefpassfilters gehören «Aus», «Standard» und «Hoch». In der Einstellung «Aus» steht die Auflösung im Vordergrund. Der Tiefpassfilter ist ausgeblendet. Bei «Standard» handelt es sich um ein ausgeglichenes Verhältnis zwischen Auflösung und unterdrückten Moiré-Effekten. Bei «Hoch» werden Moiré-Effekte und Farbartefakte effektiv reduziert. Mit dieser neuartigen Funktion erzielen Fotografen auch bei Motiven, die Moiré Effekte provozieren, die gewünschte Bildqualität und Auflösung. Die Funktion vereint zwei Kameras in einem Gehäuse – einmal mit und einmal ohne Tiefpassfilter. Mithilfe einer Belichtungsreihe mit Tiefpassfilter können zudem die Effekte unterschiedlicher Einstellungen verglichen werden. (Der Filtereffekt variiert je nach angelegter Spannung in der Filterschicht aus Flüssigkristall. Eine ähnliche Technik nutzt Sony auch für den variablen Graufilter in dem kürzlich zur IBC 2015 vorgestellten Camcorder PXW-FS5.)

Als Novum für die RX1 Serie bietet die RX1R II einen integrierten XGA OLED Tru-Finder, der auf Knopfdruck ein- und ausgefahren werden kann. Der Sucher verfügt über eine Zeiss T* Beschichtung und vier asphärische Glaselemente, die zusammen für eine 0,74fache Vergrösserung sowie klare Sicht über den gesamten Bildbereich mit nur minimalen Verzerrungen sorgen. Der auf Knopfdruck hochspringende Sucher ähnelt dem der Sony RX100 III und RX100 IV, allerdings erübrigt sich bei der RX1R II das zusätzliche händische Heraussziehen des Sucherokulars. (Im Zegensatz zu den kleineren, dünnen beiden RX100-Modellen konnte der Sucher der RX1R II aufgrund des dickeren Gehäuses der ausreichend tief konstruiert werden.)

Das aktuelle Kameramodell ist zudem mit einem 3,0 Zoll WhiteMagic LC-Display mit 1,2 Millionen Bildpunkten ausgestattet, das um bis zu 109 Grad nach oben und bis zu 41 Grad nach unten geneigt werden kann, um noch mehr Aufnahmewinkel und -positionen abzudecken.Bei Videoaufnahmen liefern der Sensor und Prozessor detailreiche Filme mit geringem Rauschen. Die Kamera unterstützt dank des vielseitigen XAVC S-Aufnahmeformats Full HD-Videoaufnahmen (1’920 x 1’080) mit Bildwiederholraten von 60p, 30p oder 24p und bis 50 Mbps. (Auf 4K-Video wurde verzichtet, da die Bauteile für die umfangreichere Elektronik zuviel Platz beansprucht hätten. Die Ingenieure haben sich stattdessen für den herausspringenden elektronischen Sucher und den neigbaren Monitoren entschieden, zumal der Schwerpunkt der Kamera auf dem Fotografieren liegt.)

Ebenfalls aus Platzgründen musste auf einen eingebauten Blitz verzichet werden. Dafür besitzt die Kamera aber einen Blitz- bzw. Zubehörschuh.Wi-Fi und NFC sind bei der neuen RX1R II ebenfalls an Bord. Zudem ist sie mit der PlayMemories Mobile App von Sony für Android und iOS Plattformen sowie mit dem wachsenden Angebot an PlayMemories Camera Apps von Sony kompatibel. So lässt sich die Kamera auch nachträglich um neue Funktionen erweitern. Noch dieses Jahr wird es eine neue Version der «Smart Remote Control» App mit einem erweiterten Funktionsumfang geben. Die Produktpalettte der All-in-One-PCs von Apple wurde modernisiert. Neu gibt es bei den kleinen iMacs mit 21,5 Zoll Bildschirmdiagnonale ein Topmodell mit 4K-Auflösung (4096 x 2304 px).
